Why Is My Group Chat So Broken?

Being reincarnated right after his death, our main character finds no respite and is instantly thrown back into life.   Thinking that this could be his chance to gain superpowers and reach for the stars, he greeted every day with determination, but as the reality of his situation set in, his hopes eventually shattered.   His days are spent with less and less emotion, as if slowly, over time, he became a robot, simply going through the motions. He felt no reason to truly live his second life if it was going to be an exact copy of his first.   That was until one day he saw a message... [Would you like to join the Custom Made Group Chat? Chapter 14 - The Machination of a Goddess

"Speech"

'Thoughts'

[Group Chat]

[[Grave Warnings]]

However, what was happening inside this newly-born being was different.

(First POV:)

I slowly opened my eyes and sat up. The white floor greeted me as I wiped my eyes.

"Finally awake, angel boy?"

A deep voice sounded from behind me, causing me to jump up and instantly turn around.

It was a ten-foot-tall black dragon. The scales looked more like rocks than sleek dragon scales. The horns pointed forward, with four wings on their backs.

Well, more like two wings on the back and two wings near the hips. The dragon was thin, looking as if it were nearing malnutrition.

"Now that you're done staring, we have work to do." It said before standing on its hind legs and grabbing me by my torso with its whole claw.

"What's going on?" I couldn't understand what was happening or where he was taking me.

"It's fine to not understand. You were just born, after all." The dragon spoke as it walked.

"I'll give you an explanation. Currently, we are inside our soul. After being split into three beings, with me being the first to awaken, I brought our minds inside our soul."

That was a great explanation of what he had done, but why had he done that?

"You look confused. Look forward."

As he said, I looked forward to seeing a mass of disfigured black creatures banging on an invisible barrier. They were everywhere outside of it.

"Those creatures are why I did what I did. Those disgusting low-born dare try and manipulate the mind of a dragon!" The dragon looked furious before quickly calming down.

"Damn dragon instincts. Listen. Those creatures are the reason I've done what I have. They poisoned our mind and corrupted our soul." The dragon pointed to his left as he spoke.

"That weakness left us when I was born." He said as I saw a small black humanoid slime struggling to stay together.

It looked absolutely pitiful and couldn't even form legs to stand.

"That is what was left of the darkness in our souls after I bathed in it. Apparently, we have died many, many times before this and continuously get restarted.

The idiot on the ground constantly went to confront the goddess about what she was doing, only for her to restart the universe by waking up and destroying it.

When I was born, all of his death inevitably rushed into me instantly. Experiencing death over and over again isn't fun. Nor is losing your skin color and bathing in darkness. I now understand what Kratos felt like." The dragon stepped on the slime as he spoke. The only thing it could do was look pitiful and try to beg, even with its inability to form words.

"We were being manipulated." I couldn't help but mutter.

"Yes. Does it not make sense? We agreed with everything she did or said, like a lapdog. Disgusting! Even changing our personality on a whim to fit her desires. I should thank Ddraig; he was the reason we were even given a sliver of a chance."

My eyes widened. "What did Ddraig do to help?"

"Remember when we called 'Hunter x Hunter' 'Mid'? That was Ddraig's influence clearing our mind. It wasn't about that show being of subpar quality but about us disagreeing with her taste. The abilities from it are very useful, I will say." The dragon smirked as he finished his sentence. Even with him being a dragon, I could tell he was up to something.

"So, what do we do first?" The question was well warranted, as he was apparently here longer than I was.

"First we will share our names; second you'll be sealing him; and third you'll take control and buy a better observer because if you used that on Sukuna, he would have instantly killed us."

"Sealing? Who?" Everything sounded fine to me, but who was I supposed to seal?

The dragon put me on the ground and turned me around. In front of me was a different being, sitting in front of the glowing, boosted gear like it was a bonfire.

The being sitting down was dressed in decorative and jagged robes, looking as if they were made from dragon scales. Gold bracelets on his hands and feet, with long white hair drifting behind him.

He had two white horns pointing upward on the sides of his head.

"I call him the Nameless Demon. He doesn't speak and supposedly represents the part of us that wants to do nothing." The dragon was going back to all fours as he spoke to me.

The nameless demon's face was far beyond handsome by human standards.

I had no idea what I looked like besides the two white wings that were on my back when I tried to get a glimpse at my body.

"As you already know, that is the Namless Demon. My name is Decessusax. What is yours, angel boy?" Decessusax's face grew a smile, which looked like he was ready to kill anything because of how his sharp teeth looked in his mouth.

"My name is Ereikiel!" A smile grew on my face as I said my name for the first time. It came to me as easily as breathing.

"Alright, Ereikiel. Seal him." Decessusax pointed at the Nameless Demon, who hadn't moved at all.

"Uhhh, how do I do that?"

I heard a slapping noise as I turned to see Decessusax with his palm in his face.

"Use your holy energy to form chains and bind him." The dragon said it as if it were the most common information any being should know.

Trying to get a feel for my holy energy, it immediately bubbled within me, begging to be used. Multiple thick lines of light began flowing out of my body before they all quickly blitzed over to the demon.

The holy light wrapped around it, causing a sizzling sound before turning into chains around his neck, arms, and legs.

"That was easy. Way too easy." I said as I began trying to get more of a feel for my energy.

"That's Eden's Angelic Prodigy for you," Decessusax said as he admired my work.

"Ereikiel, you'll be in control due to me not being able to control my dragon instincts. If someone insults me at all, I would turn everything around me to ash.

Remember, just because you're in control doesn't mean we can't take control or merge our thoughts. And buy a better observation before you die trying to look at the stats of some god!"

That was the last thing I heard before I blinked and found myself in my room.

[You've completed the mission: The Strongest Today vs. The Strongest in History!]

[Completion Rank: D (You got fucked…)]

[Adding together the total reward...]

[+50,000 points for completing the mission.]

[+15,000 points for surviving a near-impossible mission!]

[+10,000 points for having your chosen winner succeed.]

[+35,000 points for unlocking a hidden objective: Push the fragment of Azaogdesz to the brink and bring out his hidden eldritch power!]

[Total: 110,000 points.]

'I need a new observation ability. The one I have now isn't going to cut it.' I thought as soon as I saw my new point total.

Right as I opened the shop, I was disgusted.

[Ad: Gamer's Custom-Made Observation!]

An advertisement was displayed in front of my face. Could this group chat get any more deplorable?

[Gamer's Custom-Made Observation]

[Description: A status observer that allows you to track skills, talents, abilities, and even the percentage you need to level them up! Just like a gamer system, it'll give you real-time notifications if something is happening to you or around you! (Please buy it, bro. I'm desperate...)]

[Cost: 45,000]

"..."

I'm so disappointed in this group chat.

That observe is way too expensive, but if it does what I think it does, then it may be worth it.

With a shaky hand, I hovered over the purchase button. I was about to spend the hard-earned points I had almost died multiple times to get.

My right hand covered my mouth as my left hand pressed purchase. I just got my points, and already I had to give up a percentage. I didn't know the group chat had taxes!

[Two group chat-bought abilities have similar uses. Merge them?]

'Yes... merge them.' I sighed internally.

[Successfully merged.]

There was a percentage chance it would fail. For real?

Right as I was going to check my status, my room suddenly disappeared, and all I was left with was black.

[That's when the God of Curses muttered, "Move."]

A large fire generated in front of me as I heard Sukuna's voice say, 'Move.' Was this like pulling for a five-star character?

[The demon, angel, and god trapped by his immense strength. Unable to climb higher.]

[Finally unlocking his first awakening, the God of Curses set his sight on a new target to torment.]

Suddenly, Sukuna appeared, sitting on a throne of skulls. He was looking down at me, causing my dragon blood to boil, while a smirk appeared on his face.

[The mortal man is pitiful no longer, for now the new Age of Gods shall experience the overwhelming evil that is Azaogdesz Sukuna.]

With that, the darkness receded, and I instantly opened the group chat.

[God of Frauds has joined the group chat!]

[God of Frauds is online!]

[Secretly An Eldritch God is online!]

[God of Frauds: InsaneSukunaSmile.GIF]

"Fuck..."

[God of Frauds: A multi-dimensional group chat. To think it would give me this name.]

[God of Frauds: I came here to return the favor, brat. For that embarrassment, I'll torment you for eternity.]

[Secretly An Eldritch God: Sorry to burst your bubble, but because you joined the group chat, you can't harm me. In other words, I'm going to do my own thing.]

With that, I instantly closed the group chat and began focusing on myself. 'Properties.'
