Can I Take the First Rank Test

It had been a total of three months since I had entered into this academy, and my end goal was still the same.

In the three months that I had been here I had learned how to appropriately train usage of blood consumption because of the fact that one of the instructors happened to be a blood elf. I also had learned a few more blood magic spells due to all of the spell crafting that I chose to do in my free time after my class were done each day.

I was currently standing in my room once again, but this time I was waiting on something to arrive at the door. I had a letter that was supposed to either grant me access to the first rank test of the year, or it would deny me from taking the practical exam.

"So, are you going to be taking the rank up exam?" I asked my roommate as she was doing her morning chants.

"Of course I will be in this event. The only problem is that it will require me to have a teammate. As you know most of the first-year students do not like me. They are more afraid of me and my use of ki with every passing day."

I did not want to admit it to her, but I was also without a partner for the rank test. If I did not find anyone to join me, I would not be able to participate in it, and I would be less likely to achieve my end goal.

My roommate then walked up to me after she had finished the chants, and I saw that she was look at me with a serious glance.

"Would you consider joining me for the event. I mean since we have been staying near each other on a daily basis we have a better chemistry and compatibility with each other than we would with other first year students in this school."

Why did I not think of that? She would be a solid choice for me to have as aa partner for this event, and I might not get another offer within the time limit of registration.

"Sure, I will sign up with you as my teammate."

As soon as I had agreed to be her partner in the event, I heard a pair of light knocks on the door.

When I walked to the door, I saw a letter that had my name on it. When I opened the letter, it read that I had been accepted into the event.

"Well since I have been accepted into the event let's both go to get register." I said to her as o walked out of the room with Hynroe wrapped around the back of my neck.

"Ok; I will meet you at the building of registration as soon as I am ready."

I then left the room and made my way to the event registration building. As I was making my way to it, I saw a large variety of different creatures that ranged from dragonborn that were known for their elemental efficiency all the way to members of the dark elves that had the best-known magic control.

This was going to be a great day for me to show them the strength of the blood elves.

The building was a single floor that had a massive group of students who were all lined up to be registered for this event. As I waited into line, I noticed that most of them staring at me.

Their stares all came to a sudden end as I noticed that their gazes were suddenly shifted to a moon elf that was participating in the event. This moon elf was wearing light magical enchanted armor that was colored with black as it's main color, and it had a dark purple as it's accent color.

I had heard stories of this person who was ranked the top of our class, and if I wanted to start my climb to the top of my class, I would have to best him in combat.

As soon as he entered into the building everyone seemed to make him an open path to the front desk.

He walked towards the front desk, but he stopped when he made it to where I was standing.

"You are the blood elf that has a blood dragon as your tamed creature. I will be hoping to combat you in this exam. If I happen to defeat you in this test than I will have secured my position as the top person in our class." He said to me as he walked away with all of his arrogance on display for everyone to see.

After he finished registered for the event, I saw that everyone went back to their normal positions.

"That is crazy that he just directly challenged you to a fight during the event."

I turned around and I saw my roommate standing there beside me.

"When did you get here?" I asked her out of surprise at seeing her.

"I used to distraction that the man created to get through the line beside you." She said to me as the line finally started to move forward.

"Well then you are truly a master of movement if you were able to get here undetected."

I then saw a pair of students that were of the cyclops species being dragged away from the building.

"Please no!! let me try one more time. I know that I can pass the test again. Please I need this test." One of the cyclops said as he

When it was our turn to become registered, I saw that there was a pair of tall wooden tree that had four different magical gems in side of it. The gems were red, blue, yellow, and black. Inside of the tree I saw a magic circle that glowed a black color.

I noticed that there was a pair of instructors that were waiting for someone to come out of the portal.

As I stepped up to the magical circle where there were no instructors I was suddenly warped to a totally different location.

"In order for you to be allowed to take your advancement test you must first sight the reed of the dark region. If you fail to sight it, or we have found that you have not lived by it then you will not be welcome at this exam." I heard a deep voice say to me from a much higher altitude.

When I was able to see clearly enough to notice that this room was very dimly lit which made it hard for me to find out who it was that was talking to me.

"Through the pain of others, I gain power. Through the power I gain victory. Through victory I claim my title. Through the title I become a dark god."

"You have accurately stated the creed that we all live by, but have you lived by it or are you just a pretender." The voice said back to me.

The person went entirely silent for a moment, but the person started to speak again.

"It would seem that you have been embracing our creed in your few months here. You have caused many students in your classes to fail due to their lack of intelligence. You have used your power to win a variety of different duels and fights.

I will allow you to make your registration for this event official, and you are one step closer to gaining your title."

As soon as he finished speaking, I noticed that I was back in the registration room; but this time I was walking out of the tree where the guards were standing.

I waited for my roommate before leaving the building.

It was only a few moments before she made it out of the same portal as me. When she did, I saw a white magical circle become visible on my left hand. This matched the one on her left hand as well.

After that my roommate walked over to me and we went to the building that had the area for those were going to participate in the event were supposed to wait for it to start.

Would I be able to survive this test? I did not know, but I knew that I would not give my opponents any easy chances to beat me.
