Mr Wilson's betrayal left Lucius shaken. It meant this old man knew of his identity as the Black Death all this while and played dumb. Lucius always believed he was the sneaky one, but the reality was that he was the one being played.

This made him wonder who else knew about his identity, and what else he had been overlooking all this time.

After pondering in silence, Lucius had no reason to refuse Lei Fei's offer. Even if he decided to reject, how certain was he that they wouldn't end his life here?

In the end, there were just too many benefits. Too much that it felt unreal and this made Lucius wonder what they would ask in return.

Nothing comes free in this world, Lyxor's betrayal is living proof of that.
