Chapter 46: Fists Before Feverish Fire

Royce

When Princeton landed on the ground, I tried to crush his body. I was grateful I spent most mornings running, knowing I had strong legs and a hard body. It was satisfying to hear the other man moan as the wind had been knocked out of him. He might have opened the garage door just as we tried to land, but it worked out perfectly. The element of surprise had been lost, but he hadn’t seen me coming. Literally.

I sat up, and I took a swing that connected with his jaw. I’d never thrown a punch before, but holy shit, it felt good to take out my anger on this sick fuck. Pent-up rage from nearly twenty hours in that damn helicopter, unknowing if Carrigan was alive, if she was safe, if she’d made it home, if her family was okay, if Princeton had already taken her away, if he killed Kit, if we were going to crash, it was coming out faster than I could register.
