After the Kyrie hymn was sung, the prayer of the day was solemnly intoned by Cesare, followed by the day's readings read by Benjamin. What amazed me the most was that the reader of the second reading was... Gabriel himself. With exceptional reverence, Gabriel began to read the sacred words, which seemed more powerful when intoned by him. After this moment, the "Alleluia" hymn was sung, and the Gospel was processed around the altar. One of the Cathedral's deacons read the Gospel with a voice as emotional as all the others. During this time, I looked into Cesare's eyes to find the assurance I needed. His warm eyes and serene smile gave me the confidence I sought.
Immediately after the Gospel was sung, the hymn "Veni Creator Spiritus" was intoned, a hymn addressed to the Holy Spirit to descend upon me and grant me the courage to fulfill the mission entrusted to me.
