Chapter 31: Ready

"Dominic called."

I frozed. My breathing also halted, no it literally stopped for one minute. In a slow motion from eyes that's focused on Orion, I diverted it looking up to him. He's now facing the glass door that divided the veranda.

I can see his side feature clearly and more defined because of his clenching jaw. I don't know if he's pissed or angry.

"W-What... what did he say?" I asked in my shaky voice. I got nervous and felt my knees weakening even though he's not yet answering.

I managed to sit down on the couch near the wall so that I'm not going to fall if ever I'll break after hearing his answer.

Just by hearing my ex-fake-husband's name, it's enough to make me feel weak. I thought, those almost two years away from them I've already moved on but it seems not. One thing's for sure, I'm not feeling the same feeling I had for him way back then, maybe this is just a wrath and the fact that he's going to meet my son.

"He wanted to see Orion."
