Chapter 25: He's Kidnapped

"Because I like you." 

After he uttered those words. He suddenly vanished, like he never intended to say those so he ran away. While me, I froze in my spot for a while. 

"Piolo! Wait!" I shouted and ran after him, trying to catch him but his run was like a cheetah. I can't chase him because I have weak legs and I just gave birth last month. 

Hence, I wondered where he was going. Their house is just ten steps away from here. Puzzled and light-headed I walked home, where Brigitte greeted me in her cute pajamas and watched the series. Orion is long asleep in our bedroom. 

"Welcome home." She kissed me on cheeks and I did the same to her. "There's food in the kitchen if you want to eat. Just heat it up in the microwave."

I shook my head. "No need. I'm fine, I ate before I went out at work. I'll wash up first then go to bed after."

She nodded and went back to the couch, continuing watching the series. "Good night then."
