"Li Xui's right mom, stop pestering Liling, you already have Little Bun"

Madam Li gave a "Harumph" as she crossed her arms, her children were teaming up against her, and she didn't even have the chance to defend herself,

Letting out a deep sigh at his wife's normal childish behaviour, he walked over to her and rested his arm on her shoulder as if to comfort her,

Turning to his son, he said, "It's already getting very late, you two should start heading home"

With that, they all said their good bye's, Madam Li's was more of a grumble, but nevertheless, it was still a goodbye.

Li Corp- Liling's Office

Liling let her pen fall to the desk with a "clack", she was finally done with all the documents that had piled up on her desk,

It had taken a little over a week, but now, it was non-existent, all she had left to do was inspect the venue for the fashion show and the press conference set to be held the next day,

Shen Ru wasn't in the office which wasn't her usual style, but considering the things that had happened on Saturday, it was expected. Thinking about it now, she and Shen Ru had never actually argued before, it wasn't for the lack of opportunity, it was more like Liling never liked to, and didn't want to waste her energy on needlessly arguing over unimportant things,

Just then, a knock on the door disrupted her train of thought, and she called out for it to be opened,

In a confused and almost alarmed manner, she asked, "Is everything okay?"

"Yep",

"So why are you here?",

She didn't expect to come off that rude, but she just couldn't fathom why Li Hao had come all the way from his office, and down to hers. He would certainly attract attention, and if there was anything Liling dreaded, it was attention

"To deliver a message"

"But you could have just called me"

"I did, but for some reason, it wasn't going through"

The images of her dead phone sitting on her bedside table, then being tossed into her bag in the morning, suddenly fleeted through her mind. She pursed her lips and sighed in resignation, she had brought it upon herself by forgetting to charge her phone last night,

"Okay. So..."

" We're getting off work together, I'm need to take you somewhere"

With a raised brow, she asked, "Where?"

"I can't tell you here. I just need you to meet me at the underground parking lot at six"

She surveyed his expression, he looked calm and collected, and she could sense that he was being serious, so she gave a nod in agreement, "I'll meet you at six then"

As Li Hao walked out, Shen Ru was about coming in. She gave a small bow in greeting and watched as he walked away. She could only imagine how all the gossip mongers on the floor would spread the news,

"Why was Mr Li here?", she asked while closing the door,

"Nothing really important, but what's in your hand?"

Shen Ru dropped the pile of documents on Liling's desk with an air of arrogance, "I need you to sign this so I can transfer departments"

Liling stared down at them wordlessly, so that was why Shen Ru hadn't been around for most of the day. She was about to ask her if she was really sure about what she was doing, but remembered what had started it in the first place,

Her eyes dimmed and her aura froze over, she picked up her pen and signed her name gracefully on the space provided, then pushed the pile back keeping the heavy silence,

Seeing Liling's actions, Shen Ru sneered, "Of course you say nothing, after all, I'm nothing but a peasant in your presence"

On a normal day, Liling may have felt bad about her words, but now, Liling couldn't care less, so with eyes as cold as glaciers, and the most expressionless glance ever, she replied, "Grateful for your understanding. Now please leave"
