"Engaged?" Daniel was so angry that his beard shook. He stared at Frederick's eyes and said, "Are you kidding me? Do you call it an engagement? You are such an embarrassment. I'm so ashamed of you that I can't even show my face in public."

He took Jenny's arms and pulled her along, "Jenny, let's leave."
