Chapter 34 Nicole's Plot

Jenny didn't know what to say for a while. When Frederick let go of her, she said to Daniel, "Grandpa, you are in good health and will live a long life. Keep it yourself."

Layne nodded at Frederick as greetings and then left in a hurry.

Daniel said, "I'll ask the driver to take you home. I can't always take up your time. You can come and see me in a few days."

Frederick watched Jenny leave. He sighed, "Grandpa, you don't have to do this for me. She doesn't want anything from us. I gave her things back then, and she didn't take anything."

Daniel put his hands behind his back and said angrily, "Don't mention the past to me. Why did you divorce her back then? Jenny is such a good girl. Upright, kind, and caring. You were lucky to marry her. But look what are you two like now? And those losers in your family, alas..."

Daniel sighed and said, "Is there anyone good? The Barnes family will decline because of you guys sooner or later."
