Chapter 39
“We’re home, sleepy head,” Ronan said with a slight shake of his shoulder.
Felix sat up and wiped at the corner of his mouth. He was mortified to see the wet spot on Ronan’s shoulder where he’d been drooling in his sleep. “Oh, geez. Sorry.” He tried to wipe at the spot, but Ronan only laughed.
“It’s okay,” he said. “I’m going to go ‘round and let Grandad out. Can you help?”
Lorcan was easy to get inside and he went straight to bed. Ronan was still humming a jaunty tune as he excused himself before disappearing into his own bedroom. Felix turned most of the lights out, but was too keyed up after his short nap to go immediately to sleep. He decided to draw himself a bath and try to relax.
