Chapter 1-A day like any other...or is it?

Ren "crumbling lotus" Kuzure is a 16-year-old aspiring hero with short black hair and emerald green eyes that reflect his nature powers. Standing at a towering six feet tall, Ren is muscular for someone his age and bears various battle scars all over his body, including a faint one on his face. His family has a long line of Heroes coming from it and his best friend Kiyoshi Akio has been by his side since they were babies and he shares many attributes with Ren, such as his heroic nature and unwavering loyalty. Despite his battle scars and stoic demeanor, Ren always has a cheeky smile and a cheerful outlook on life, always seeing the silver lining and hoping for a brighter future. Known as a role model at the Institute of Heroism, Ren often inspires both his classmates and teachers alike with his determination and strength. Despite his positive nature, Ren harbors a deep-seated anger toward the dark, corrupt forces that he knows lurk in the shadows of society... Waiting for a moment to strike.

Kiyoshi "bright hero" Akio is the best friend of Ren Kuzure. He has blonde hair and has crystal-like ocean blue eyes that reflect his ice powers. He is a bright-eyed and enthusiastic young student at the Institute of Heroism, dreaming of a better tomorrow and fighting for justice and the protection of innocents. At just 16 years old, Kiyoshi has already developed a strong sense of right and wrong and has a deep-rooted desire to make a difference in the world. With Ren Kuzure by his side, Kiyoshi fight's bravely against the forces of evil and injustice in their world, always remaining loyal and dedicated to his values and his best friend. With a kind and compassionate heart, Kiyoshi is always the first to show mercy and support to those in need, a true hero in the making. Always there for his friends and fellow students, Kiyoshi is respected and admired by everyone at the Institute of Heroism, and served as an inspiration to those who dreamed of becoming heroes like him. Kiyoshi's unwavering loyalty and optimism, even in the face of adversity, make him a role model for those around him, and an example of the true essence and spirit of heroism.

It was the start of a new school year. The young hero Ren Kuzure rushed through the gates of the Institute of Heroism, his heart pounding with excitement and anticipation. In his hands was a necklace with a purple crystal at its core-meant for his fellow student Kiyoshi Akio. As he raced through the halls of the bustling institute, Ren's mind also raced with thoughts of the adventures he and Kiyoshi would have together, eager to pursue their shared dreams of becoming the greatest heroes the world has ever known. However, just as Ren was running around the school as he came late, he abruptly stopped in his tracks. He noticed something

strange...and a feeling of unease washed over him. Something was wrong. Following his intuition, Ren quickly turned around and walked in the opposite direction, his suspicions piqued. As he turned a corner, he saw a group of... villains? The sight sent a chill down Ren's spine and his resolve instantly strengthened. He knew what he had to do. Suddenly, An Ear-Piercing shriek came from the school alarm and sent vibrations throughout the whole school, it was the principal, "The Rogue Syndicate have launched an attack, all students should have been evacuated to the gymnasium, the teachers will protect the school and we will be calling reinforcements from the nearest hero organizations... Wait... Where... WHERE ARE REN KUZURE AND KIYOSHI AKIO!"

"of course, on the one day I come to school this shit happens." says Ren slightly annoyed. Suddenly one of the villains catches Ren's eye and approaches him, "well... well... well..., what do we have here, a student at the institute of heroism?", he smirks, "this will be fun". Ren, as scared as he is, knows he has to put on a brave face and do his duty, "as an aspiring hero it's my duty to defeat you 4 Villains, this will be my first battle against villains", he chuckles, "don't disappoint me". The grunts of the shadow syndicate still seem menacing to a young 16-year-old boy, but to be a hero means to put on a smile in all situations and put others before yourself, now, the only thing standing between the villains and the students at the school, is Ren Kuzure. Suddenly, a huge rupture of ice is lifted from the ground, completely destroying one of the villains in a surprise attack, "ice magic...", Ren smirks proudly, "I only know of one person in this entire school with ice magic, HEY KIYOSHI! SHOW YOURSELF YOU SNEAKY BASTARD", he says with a wide grin on his face. Kiyoshi appears behind him, "jeez you didn't have to scream so hard, I'm already late for school and now you've broken my eardrums as well", "how about we save this for later, we have a duty to complete", both of the best friends smile and get ready to battle in order to protect their fellow students. The grunts look shocked, how was it possible for a mere student to have so much power? Ren and Kiyoshi work in tandem to fight off the grunts while the principal calls reinforcements, in the distance all the teachers can be seen approaching them, now that the students are safe the teachers can go all out as well. Ren uses his nature powers to create vines, which he uses to trap the villains and hold them in place, Kiyoshi materializes an ice sword and swiftly stabs them all one by one, even the teachers look amazed by their teamwork, "not bad for some students", says he principal. Just as they think they have won, a villain who pretended to faint shoots a blast of wind shaped like a bullet towards Kiyoshi and hits him in the ribs and he winces in pain. Ren laughs, "stop being a crybaby", Ren heals the injury with ease with his regenerative powers, after using his powers Ren's eyes have achieved a shiny emerald green and he looks like an angel who dropped from heaven. He knocks out the last villain.

With an amused look the principal shouts, "don't get too excited, those were merely the grunts, now run along to the gymnasium, the real attack starts soon, and the rogue syndicate's elites are not to be underestimated.", Kiyoshi speaks, "We understand however wouldn't it be a good thing for us to have some real firsthand experience with villains, being stuck in a classroom all day is not a great way of learning, if we were to join you, at least for a bit, I think it would be beneficial for our growth as future heroes". Ren, trying to sound smart when he is just a musclehead, "yea uh... What he said...". The principal chuckles to himself amusingly, "well perhaps I could let you help us, after all you are the two best heroes are institute has trained in generations, but be careful, for we may not be able to help you if you get in trouble". Together, the teachers, principal, Ren and Kiyoshi, stand their ground waiting for the villains to arrive, two of the teachers handle the right side of the school, the other two the left, the principal takes the front, and Ren and Kiyoshi both take the back.

 Unexpectedly, when the rogue syndicate arrives, it's through the back... And the teachers have no idea... Ren and Kiyoshi can only rely on each other in this dire situation as two menacing figures approach them. One is a woman, who seems to be not much older than them, she has jet black hair and violet eyes, although she is wearing a mask which covers most of her face, you could tell that she was a beauty. Her attire was black, and she had a sword sheathed onto her waist, in the palm of her hands little sparks of purple light could be seen. The other villain was a man, again, he seemed not much older than them, perhaps 20 or 21 years old. He had short silver hair and piercing crimson eyes, his expression was one of suffering and pain, and his crimson eyes were shining yet... Lifeless? he had 2 gauntlets and seemed to be standing at a towering 6 foot 2, taller than Ren and Kiyoshi who were both 6 foot and were seen as giants among the students, his jacked body could basically be seen even with his shirt on, truly, it seemed that Kiyoshi had met his match.

"What are you two doing out here, are you not students, scram before I decide to kill you", said the beautiful woman. Ren whispered, "hey Kiyoshi isn't she kind of cute,", Kiyoshi looked more disappointed with Ren if anything... "in a situation like this you're thinking about how cute she looks. You don't know disappointed I am with myself for affiliating with you", the towering figure speaks, "what are you two Muppets blabbering on about, leave or you will not live to see tomorrow". "Hey Kiyoshi, this guy is kind of massive... So are you... I say you take him, and I spend time with-I mean I fight with the beauty. UH I mean treacherous villain". Kiyoshi

Looks even more disappointed, "you uneducated simp, go on then".

The two best friends speak in unison, "We are students at the institute of heroism, therefore it is our duty to defeat you Villains, now prepare to face us, for we are not to be underestimated".

Ren approaches the woman and Kiyoshi approaches the man. Kiyoshi and the Giant immediately get into a violent brawl with their fists as well as their magic, the giant seems to have an ability related to increasing his muscle mass and size to increase his power output. On the other hand, Ren decides to speak... or rather flirt with the woman..., "hey their beautiful, I'm Ren Kuzure, what about you?" he smiles brightly. "you're a weird one you know that right? are you thick? I'm a villain why would I reveal my identity to you...", Ren looks embarrassed and says, "what about villain name then?", "it's midnight blade you creep, now leave or are you truly stupid enough to try and fight me, you're a mere student". "Like I said, I am Ren Kuzure, and I have a duty to uphold as a hero in training, you may have the first attack milady". "Wait, did you just say Kuzure?", something in her memory seemed to have clicked, "like The Kuzure family?", "Yea I come from a long line of Heroes, you're not scared now, are you?", Ren smiles proudly. "Word of advice to you Ren, it's up to you to listen and take it, or ignore it, either way, whatever happens, it's not on me". "What advice?", "Run, take your family and run away from this place, otherwise... I'm not sure what might happen to them", she glances at a document in her bag, almost as if it has something to do with Ren and his family". Ren who now looks annoyed says, "stop spouting bullshit and fight, are you threatening me?".

Ren uses his nature magic as his eyes start glowing, he creates blasts of wind that dash towards 'Midnight Blade', he reforms the earth beneath them to become uneven, making it hard to dodge, he then materializes a couple of wind arrows and starts aiming them at midnight, with her agility she swiftly dodges all attacks even with the uneven ground, "I'm serious Ren, you would want to take your family and run if you knew what was about to happen" now she has a saddened look on her face but tries not to show it. "Be quiet, I don't need you lying to me right now", ren continues his onslaught of attacks and lands a few wind shears on her waist and left cheek which cause midnight to bleed, unfazed, she strikes ren with her sword and prices his torso, she then places her hand on the wound and shoots blasts of electricity straight into him. While in pain Ren speaks, "shit, I guess you weren't joking, you are quite powerful", Ren is on the verge of fainting.

Meanwhile this is happening Kiyoshi and the giant continue their battle. Hook, jab, uppercut, the battle has turned into an all-out fist fight, the ground has turned to ice and Kiyoshi seems to be overpowering the giant. "Your quite strong for a kid, I guess I'll get serious", suddenly the giant becomes much stronger although he doesn't look different his aura is much more potent and a smile creep up on his face, as if he has finally found a worthy opponent. "I guess I'll start using my magic then, get ready big guy, the fight has only just begun", Kiyoshi shoots ice spikes from the ground above and a gaping whole appears onto the left side of the giant's torso, "that was quite a strong attack what did you say your name was again, Kiyoshi? I'll be sure to remember it". The giant swiftly traps Kiyoshi in a jiu-jitsu joint lock, making him immobile, he then starts to pummel Kiyoshi with his fists and elbows. This is no longer a battle but a one-sided massacre..., while on the floor Kiyoshi looks at Ren, who has just been pierced in the torso by a sword, tears well up in his eyes as he realizes him, and Ren may not live past today... "is... Is this really how it ends? I didn't even get to become a full-fledged hero... I... I... I don't want to die... please... someone... anyone...help". Kiyoshi's body is bruised and beaten, a pool of blood surrounds the back of the school, making it impossible to tell whether it's Kiyoshi's or Ren's. Suddenly 'Midnight blade' speaks, "hey 'Titan', let's leave, we have done enough, and I just found out some interesting information the boss might like, did you know that kid Ren was part of the Kuzure family?".

They leave, Ren sees the state of Kiyoshi and lumps over. "hey dumbass, why did you fight the giant guy, he was obviously stronger then you, don't worry now, I think we can confirm that I'm Stronger now", he lets out a forced laugh, Ren uses his nature powers to materialize a majestic tree which reaches the sky, the ground becomes a Grove of flowers, even a small squirrel as well as hundreds of birds and other creatures appear, quickly enough both of their injuries heal up as if they never had them in the first place. "Hey Ren", "yea Kiyoshi?", Kiyoshi regains the smile on his face which he always had, "I guess we will have to work harder now won't we? if we want to defeat Villains like those we will have to grow, alright get up, let's go do some training".

Ren smiles, "alright then, but just so you know I am now definitely stronger than you, and also I got this bracelet for you, it's got a purple crystal at its core, I have one to! if you ever need me pour your magic into the crystal and it will notify me about your location". The attack on the school ends, reinforcements arrive but all the villains leave before they can be caught, the only Villains who appeared that day were midnight blade and Titan as well as another who faced the principal himself and any weak grunts, their identities remain hidden of course, but the memories of that day stay fresh on the minds of Ren and Kiyoshi, and Ren... He finds himself wondering about what that powerful woman meant, and what information that document she had with her contained, perhaps it was something related to his family? Or perhaps it was just on the hero organizations and government, I guess we will ever know, at least not yet anyway.
