Chapter 7: Nicole

As I walking down the hall after leaving my locker for the last time today. I looked down at my phone for some reason and I guess I wasn't paying attention and I collided something very firm.

I look up and saw him, Mr. Sexy. Now that we were closer to each other, I could see his features more clearly. He had brown shaggy hair long enough to get in his eyes if it wasn't styled upwards a bit. Blue, almost grey colored eyes; a jawline sharp enough to cut you; and not too muscular to see it but muscular enough to tell he's STRONG. He was way taller than I, while I'm about 5' 3", he stood at a good 6' 2". So tall enough for me to look up at him.

I honestly couldn't process what was happening.

With a face drawn by angels and a body carved from hell, he's enough to make every girl pine away after him.

"You should take a picture it'll last longer." He spoke with a smug smile, breaking me from my trance.

Heat instantly rose to my face as I blushed.

"I-I'm sorry, wasn't paying attention I guess" I apologized nervously.

He nodded looking me up and down, biting his lip in the process. His ocean-like eyes met my hazel ones. He went to walk around me and I was relieved thinking he was leaving. But suddenly he stopped right beside me. Bringing his lips close to my ear he huskily said, "It's ok, you can make it up to me sometime."

Winking as he proceeded to walk away.

'You can make it up to me sometime…' I shivered. What does that mean???

He made me feel some type of way just looking at me, not to mention talking to me like that. I continued to walk out of school meeting Jackson at his car. It wasn't raining like earlier, it came to a slow drizzle over the course of the day. As I got closer I could see that Evan was innthe car and he and Jackson were talking.

"Hey guys!" I belted.

"Hey, Guurl. Wanna come to my place and hang? I mean, I have to get Levi but I really wanna hang with my main bitch."

"Umm.." I said looking over to my brother.

"Go, I'll tell mom where you are." Jackson that sly familiar smile.

"Thanks."

Evan and I walked to his car.

"Nice car" I said.

"Thanks betch." He laughed and got in the driver's seat.

"I gotta pickup Levi, it's about 10 minutes away. But my house is like 5 minutes from his after school care since we pass my house on the way there, just so you know."

I nodded in return as he started the car and pulled out of the parking lot. His phone was already connected to the Bluetooth in his car. "This Town" by Niall Horan came on from his playlist.

"Ah, I love this song." He said placing his hand to his heart.

"Me too!!" I laughed.

"I wanna sing this from start to finish, lemme start it over." He pressed some buttons and I began to sing along.

"Waking up to kiss you and nobody's there. The smell of your perfume still stuck in the air. It's hard. Yesterday I thought I saw your shadows running 'round. It's funny how things never change in this old town. So far from the stars." Blissfully the words drifted off my lips.

"Oh. My. God. Biiiitch!! You never said you could SING sing!"

He gawked as I laughed and stopped singing.

"No, no! Keep going. I wanna hear this shit." He voice was sassy and yet reassuring.

"If the whole world was watching, I'd still dance with you. Drive highways and byways to be there with you. Over and over the only truth. Everything comes back to you. Mmmmhmmmm." I sang in the moment. I didn't think of anything around me, it was all blocked out. The only thing mattering at that moment, the music.

I came back to reality and noticed Evan with his phone out, somehow recording me while driving.

"Oh my god." I blushed.

"You. Are. So. Good. You should do choir as you extra-curricular. Seriously." Evan said sincerely.

"I don't know, maybe" I shrugged.

The rest of the car ride was us joking around.

"Ok we're here. I'll be right back with him." He informed as I nodded in response.

A few minutes go by and I see him and Levi walking out. He got Levi in his car seat as he buckled him in and introduced me.

"Levi, this is my friend Nicole. She's gonna hang with us for a bit." Levi smiled at me and waved. Levi was so cute with dinosaurs on his shirt and what looked like a chocolate stain. Kids can be messy at times, but it is adorable.

"Hi." I smiled at him.

We then pulled out of the after school care center and towards Evans house.

"Oh oh. Nicole, you wanna know what I did today." Levi was obviously excitedly.

"Of course. Did you have fun?" I asked looking at him through the car's side mirrors.

"I gotta gold star form Miss Jackie. Levi spoke with a slight lisp.

"Oh yeah? What did you do to get it?" I asked.

"I was a good boy ALL day." He exclaimed.

"That's great! Are you always a good boy?" I questioned.

"Yeah." He nodded.

"Levi, we both know that's NOT true." Evan laughed.

"It's not." Levi giggled.

We drove for about 5 minutes longer until we reached, what I was assuming was, his community.

"Omg, you live 4 blocks from my place." I realized.

"Yaaas that means we can hang more often." Evan stated.

We pulled into his driveway and all got out. We walked in his house and it was very homey, decorated wonderfully.

"It's so cozy in here." I spoke.

"Yeah." He fake flipped his hair back.

"I help my mom out with decorating whenever she wants to switch things up." He said proudly.

Evan, Levi, and I hung out for a good two hours. "Alright, I should go. Gotta stop at the pharmacy before they close." I sighed.

"Ok, get your shoes on." Evan told Levi.

"Oh no it's ok. I can walk." I declined.

"You sure, it's about to be dark." Evan asked confused.

"Yeah, walking helps get my mind off some things. Plus, we passed the pharmacy on the way here and I know my house isn't far at all. So it's all good." I replied.

"Ok well, see you tomorrow Guurl." Evan waved.
