Half an hour earlier...
Something was happening near the city walls within the range of the turrets, or what some of the locals call the dead zone.
There's a vertical purple rift in the fabric of space. It resembles bolt of lighting frozen in time.
The rift expands, stretching open to reveal a blinding source of light.
A male cloaked figure steps out of it. It's a tall slender werewolf wearing a tight fitting black wolf shaped helmet that covers his entire head.
The wolf helmet forged to permanently bear It's fang. The metal jaw allows its user to open and close the mouth piece at will. A large silver depiction of the number three painted on along the left side of the eye.
As the rift closes behind him, a voice can be heard coming through it.
"Please be careful, Skoll." A female voice says.
As the rift closes behind Skoll, and he snorts at her comment. 'I hate that woman. Does she think I can't handle myself? The only one I need to be careful around is my father.'
One of the turrets fires at him, but the bullet curves at the last second missing its target.
Skoll's uncaring eyes spot a black wolf helmet on the ground, this one bearing the number seven. He picks it up to inspect it and notices that there is a scratch on it. He picks it up and stores it in a pocket dimension.
The turret fires at him again with the same result.
'That explains the scratch.'
Skoll kneels down to sniff the ground, searching for her scent. 'Her scent is gone. It's been too long.'
The sound of gunfire echos far in the distance. As Skoll takes his time to get a good look at his surrounds, he scoffs at the state the city is in.
'This place is a shit show. I can't imagine Raven staying here for any prolonged period of time. However, she wouldn't leave her helmet behind unless something happened to her.'
When Skoll hears more gunfire in the distance, he decides that's a good place to start looking for her.
He gets in all fours and sprints in that direction at, running at eighty kilometers per hour. This was not his fastest speed, running in a city was hard. Many sharp turns presented themselves. He often resorted to rounding a corner and running on the side of buildings to help him turn.
Once he is a few miles away from the firefight, he slows down when he sees human soldiers.
He comes to a full stop, however, over twenty soldiers stand in front of him. They had their weapons aimed at him the moment they spotted him.
"Don't move." One them says.
However, Skoll doesn't obey their orders. He puts his hands in his pockets and casually walks towards them.
They don't hesitate to open fire. However, just like the auto turret, their bullets curved around his body.
Before the soldiers had time to react. Skoll suddenly appeared in the middle of their ranks and unleashes one of his gravity spells.
Everything in a perfect one hundred meter circle flattens like a pancake. All the soldiers, and all the buildings are destroyed in an instant. Even the concrete sank several inches.
Even after displaying such a powerful spell, Skoll stood there emotionless. There was not a single hint of anything in his cold eyes.
'Don't tell me she was killed by these weaklings.'
Two black semi transparent black panthers materialize by his side. Small amounts of black electricity eminates from their body from time to time.
"Find her." Skoll commands his pets.
They take off in the direction of the gunfire. Skoll wants to use them to find Raven without him having to waste time killing people weaker than he is.
After ten minutes had passed by with the panthers sharing their vision with Skoll, he decided to confront the remaining soldiers directly.
The panthers main job was to scout the area. Sure, they could fight, but that would just create more chaos.
The remaining soldiers he saw were guarding captured werewolves. This confirmed his suspicion that Raven could still be alive, somewhere.
After spotting a discarded gun on the ground, he used his gravity magic to manipulate it. Taking the magazine out, then the bullets. He separated the bullets from their casings.
When he was within one hundred meters from his targets, he aimed for the soldier that stood out the most.
'Thst must be their leader. If I take him out, everyone will be disorganized.'
Skoll thought as he shot a bullet towards his target and hitting the solider in the head. This soldier was none other than Wenslo.
Skoll shot the rest of the bullets, killing twenty more soldiers. The remaining soldiers he killed by imploding their heads with gravity magic.
There was only one soldier that he spared. He pinned him down in an area where he increased the gravity by two folds.
Before he questioned the soldier, he untied the werewolves.
Luna was the first one to thank him. But more importantly, she wanted his help to find Raven.
"Please, mister. Raven needs our help. She was captured and taken who knows where."
Skoll sighed knowing he didn't have the time for this. He ignored Luna and questioned the soldier who was more than happy to answer all of his questions.
However, the soldier reported that Raven was most likely on her way to a research facility located in the Zendarian country seven hundred miles away.
Skoll kills the soldier and walks away. He creats a rift to leave. Luna grabs his arm before he can.
"Where are you going?" Luna asks.
"I'm leaving. I don't have time to find her."
"Isn't she the reason why you came here? How could you abandoned her like that?"
"You don't know anything about us." Skoll points out. "She is a great asset to us, but our forces stretched thin. We cannot afford to help her at this time."
Luna's eyes stare at him with hatred.
"Don't you feel guilty leaving her here? Who knows what kind of things they are going to do to her."
Skoll takes to moment to reflect on her words. Of course he cares for her, but there's nothing he can do about it.
Skoll finally speaks. "She's replaceable, just like me. In the grand scheme of things, we are just pawns. However, if I could, I would rescue her."
Skoll holds out his hand. "If you come with me, we can make you strong enough to save her."
