CHAPTER 15

"Indeed, you look like a King. Who would thought that Lucas Manger the one who takes care of the farm would become a King." Diadem smiled.

"Lucas Manger! You know I love the name those men gave me." He beamed.

"So my King, you ought to pick a wife. Your sister is getting married to Jose already so who is next after your heart?"

"Diadem, your husband should be looking everywhere for you by now. It's time you head back home."

"Oh, you are trying to send me off. I will see you some other time then. Long live the King of Zamunda." She greeted him before leaving.

Lucas stared on till she was out of sight.

"You must be careful brother." Gem interrupted with a smile.

"You are here, sister."

"Long live the King of Zamunda."

"You know I never permitted you to do that."

Gem burst out laughing as she saw how embarrassed her brother was.

"How is your preparation for getting a wife?"

"I was waiting for you to come, Gem. I don't know how to say this but..."

"Diadem is married already."

"Not her but Leah."

Gem opened her eyes wide in surprise while Lucas frowned at her.

"Finally, you decided to follow your heart. I knew it right from the first day."

Lucas smirked at her. He could tell that his sister just loves it when he feels embarrassed. It took her a long time to be this happy after the banishment of her mother and brothers. He pitied her.

"I'm happy that my Gem could smile again after all that happened." He coaxed.

"I'm always happy so don't worry about me. You are the King now besides, my second Kaye that Father talked about is taking care of me."

"Good to hear. Don't panic as I will always help you out."

" Greetings my King." Jose interrupted.

"Here comes the man after my sister's heart. You are welcome."

Jose smiled and then sat close to Gem as they relayed the message of the gods to the King in utmost sincerity.
