Flashback: Mrs. Wang's case.
The murder scene is surrounded by many people, although the police already put a yellow strap to cut the people out, the flash from their phone keeps on flashing which makes the police try their hard in adding more yellow straps about ten feet further from the first strap. The police who currently stood inside the crime scene turns his body after the police in front of him signaling him to do so.
"Inspector Nick?"
A woman and a man who in their forensic suits walk together, the woman who is about five foot and six inches ask while grabbing a file from the man on her left side.
"Yes, I am. You are?"
Staring at the woman in a forensic suit, Inspector Nick tries his best to recall whether they had met before. With a polite voice, Inspector Nick asks after he is unable to remember the woman.
"I'm Dr. Sherry, I will be the one who will do the autopsy later."
Surprise, Officer Kim who stands beside Inspector Nick quickly apologizes, realizes the awkward moment, Inspector Nick follows his assistant apologizing. However, the latter just gives a distant smile accepting their apologies which makes the awkward moment just now is not something worth mentioning.
"Do you have anything you want to say Dr.?"
Not wasting any more time, Inspector Nick starts the conversation. Since the doctor had come by herself to the crime scenes even after there are other forensic here, Inspector Nick can't help from suspecting things.
"Well, first, I want to know if you already read the history of Oakstead and other books that related to this place?"
"Yes, I just read it last month."
Feeling weird, Inspector Nick keeps his eyes on the woman even closely while his brain keeps on trying to recall all the connections that might have between the history and today's cases.
"Then I'm sure that you know there are a lot of people here with a complicated background."
With her eyes stay on the man, the doctor asks the inspector while observing the man's reaction. Just as she expects the inspector gives her the reaction that she waits onto. With a smile, Dr. Sherry changes their topic back to the cases leaving the inspector to ponder alone on their previous conversation. Not just the inspector, even Officer Kim unable to hide his emotions, while Dr. Sherry's assistant just stood there with his aloof face as nothing happen.
"This murder is not something that ordinary people can do. Either hatred or the killer is a professional can result in this killing. What do you think Inspector?"
"Yes, this is what we had been thinking on. The way the killer cut the victim, I personally thought this must be a professional killer that had been paid to kill the victim."
Playing alone with the doctor, Inspector Nick answers her question while changes his composure back to his professional state. Honestly, he also keeps on pondering about the motive behind the murder, but his work needs him to keeps on coming out with theories to make the investigation run smoothly.
"Then you must prepare to face everything because all of the people here have their own secret that they want to protect."
With that, Dr. Sherry walks away leaving the crime scene not looking back at the inspector. Listening to the words, Inspector Nick and Officer Kim finally understand the real meaning of the earlier question. Indeed, this case will be a lot haywire because the victim is the wife of a very influential man.
Sighing, Inspector Nick turns his back to the crime scene watching the other police collecting all evidence and pictures of the scenes. Looking around, Inspector Nick saw a surveillance camera from the right side of the parking lot, like gaining a second life, Inspector Nick quickly instructs his assistant Officer Kim to go and collect the surveillance camera's footage to help with the investigation.
"I want to have all of it, just gather all the footage from the working surveillance camera in a one-kilometer radius. Understand?"
"Yes Inspector, I will go search for the footage."
Walking out from the scenes, Officer Kim first heads to the University. Inspector Nick watches his assistant walk away, only after he no longer can see Officer Kim's shadow, Inspector Nick look back at the victim who is currently being wrap by the forensic to the hospital for further investigation.
In a blink of an eye, the reporters from the towns surround Inspector Nick and other police as soon as they escort the dead body to the ambulance. There are many questions bombarding them which not only push all the police to temporarily stop but also hinder the way. None of them saying or commenting on the cases, ten minutes later, the polices drove away heading to the police station leaving the reporters behind.
The dead body is on its way to being sent to the hospital, Dr. Sherry who already prepares for the autopsy is currently sitting inside the operation room with her hand holding a phone. She currently searching for news about today's incident on social media. There is a lot of videos circulating on social media which already gain countless people's eyes, there are many speculations under the video on the comment section. Not only the parking lot had been talking by them, but they also talk about how the parking lot had been closed and neglected for two years due to unspeakable things.
"What do you think about today's cases?"
With no emotion, Dr. Sherry asks her assistants who are currently busy preparing the equipment and all the tools with a smile on her face. Since there are only four of them inside the operation room, the question asked by the doctor stops their movement, and every one of them ponders about the question trying to answer the question.
Seeing this, Dr. Sherry chuckle while getting up from the chair. Putting down her phone at the cabinet, she walks to the main table that had been surrounded by two trollies and four cameras.
"I think today will be the best day ever."
Standing in front of the table that had been made by steel, Dr. Sherry said to herself puling the other three assistants to a state of disbelief. Even though all of them are aware of the doctor's addiction, they have never witnessed this side of her which makes them feel terror. Five minutes later, the police came pushing the dead body on the trolly into the operation room. Exchanging the documents and all evidence, the police walk out leaving the four of them.
"Come on, let's start from her feet."
Taking the victim's feet from the bag, one of Dr. Sherry's assistants put it on the table, each two of them work on each foot on the same table at the right and left sides. Dr. Sherry uses her magnifying glass to look at the foot's nails, while her partner observes the left foot knee. The two teams work together and record everything that they gain from the body into the paper. The camera keeps on rolling recording their movement through the four angels with the red light flashing every seconds.
