Unwanted Guests and a Village to Adopt

Just as soon as Golden Dragonfly and Ruby were about to throw hands, Priscilla arrived from the door. "Ugh, this bitch again." Dragonfly complained.

Priscilla closes the door behind her with a sway of her hand, ridding the light that illuminated the entrance. When she walked forward, the safehouse servants were curious and tried to open the door once more, but when they did, all they saw was the pathway outside to the safehouse's gate. The fiend struts forward and stood beside Carlos. "Miss me?" She said with her eyes directly looking at the Golden Dragonfly whose face was funnily distorted.

"Not in the slightest." Dragonfly rebutted.

"So, how was the "save humans" mission?" Priscilla turns to Ruby and Carlos. "You found a lot of them, good thing we've got this nanny over here to take good care of these slimy, dirty, disgusting humans."

Golden Dragonfly was about to snap, yet kept her head cool. She marched closer to the three to ensure she was heard. "Okay, you two need to leave. We only need princey-boy over here to lead us to the Red Courtyard. You ugly ass bitch and you fake ass motherfucker need to get out of my sight."

Carlos felt insulted and came to their defense. "Miss Dragonfly, please do not speak to them that way."

"Hey, hey, listen to me boy." Dragonfly gently pulls him to the side, resting her hand on his shoulder. They distanced themselves from the two Asperities. Even so, Dragonfly was still heard by the demon ladies. "Those two, they're freaks, obviously, they're trying to trick you into believing they're the good guys." She whispered loudly.

"No, I know them well and they wouldn't do that." Carlos pulls her hand off him and backs away a little.

"They're literal DEMONS." Dragonfly exclaimed while still forcefully trying to whisper. Carlos' face turned sour hearing her say such. The leader continued to dictate despite the prince's impervious face. "You know?! From the 666 Domains of Pandemonium?! They can't be trusted with anything!"

"Miss Dragonfly, you have to trust them." Carlos denied Dragonfly's beliefs. Though Dragonfly was right, the prince found it difficult for his heart to not try to save them. "They're my companions, they won't do anything that will harm us."

"Oh, they won't harm me, but you? You're walking right into their trap, they're gonna kill you!"

"You done?" Priscilla calls them out, making the prince and the hotheaded leader turn their heads. She crossed her arms and tilted her head slightly. "We're kind of in the middle of doing something really important. You should give it up, nanny."

"Bitch, shut your stinky ass up."

"Oh, you wanna fight? I'll give you a fight, come outside!"

A commotion brewed as the two ladies was about to crash into each other when suddenly, the doors to the safehouse opened once more. Within the door frame comes the Assassin Leader, arms crossed and irked. "I see you've been handling some matters underground while I was gone." Fauna said with a vexed tone.

"Took you long enough." Dragonfly responded, hurriedly releasing Priscilla's collar.

Fauna then walked inside the safehouse and grabbed the demons by the ears. "Ow!" Priscilla yelled whilst trying to push the hand off her. Ruby, on the other hand, was silently protesting.

"Who told you two you could wander outside the safehouse?" Fauna was unmoved.

"Ow, ow! You- Hey! Don't touch me! Ow!"

Once Fauna was satisfied after hearing her cries, she eventually let go. Stomping away from Fauna, Priscilla cried out. "Hey! Who the hell are you to do that?! Only the Queen does that to me and you're not even qualified to touch me! Ugh! Now my ear's all swollen!"

Ignoring Priscilla's complaints, Fauna shifted her head towards Dragonfly. "And you... Why did you allow them?"

"Hold on, I thought you were fine with it! I told you about the whole thing!" Despite Fauna's completely covered face, Dragonfly could sense her dissatisfaction. Immediately, she tries to explains herself but she had no other explanation but the prince. "Wait! Wait! Don't look at me! Look at him!" Dragonfly points at Carlos.

"I apologize, Miss Fauna." The prince lowered his head before the Assassin Leader.

"Were you hurt?"

Hearing such, Carlos was completely silenced. He had to look up to the leader to make sure he heard it clearly. The three girls, who were just as surprised as him, look at Carlos dumbfoundedly.

"No... I was not." Carlos answered the leader with a hint of worry in his voice.

"Good." Fauna didn't seem to notice his uneasy face. "So what are your plans for these humans?"

"They'll return to their homes eventually, but, will you let them rest here for a while?"

"That is no problem."

"Thank you."

"Now that we know that humans are indeed trapped underground, the Superior Leader has instructed the Magus and Marksman manor to locate all remaining humans once we acquire access to the gates of the Red Courtyard. The Cardinal Manors are grateful for your perseverance and determination, if not for you, we would not have found a way underground. The Superior Leader has also sent her regards."

"Wait, how did she know about the humans? I was sure I... didn't tell her."

"I am the Assassin Manor Leader, I may have only six disciples but they are as capable as a thousand men. As the Superior Leader's servant, it is my job to inform her of my tasks as well."

"I... See..."

"You have done so much for the Cardinal Manors, Your Majesty, tell me, how would you like to be rewarded? Perhaps you'd like to ask for something in exchange?"

I am not a child. Such thought lingered in the prince's head. The Assassin Leader definitely knew that he will soon leave the Cardinal Manors' sight. And with that, he feels as though he is being bribed for him to stay with them. "I only wish for the people of Liberta to regain their freedom, and for them to return safely to their homes and their families. That is all." He ended up speaking the words from his heart, even when he knew it is of no value to the leader.
