Prologue: Origin of the Aspects

Since time immemorial, people gifted with extraordinary powers and magics have roamed the lands of Ideam. Unlike a talented soldier or mage, these individuals possess god-like powers over a single domain, a single abstract idea. An aspect of reality. Though it is uncertain exactly when, the title of "Aspect" become common to refer to these god-like humans from a very early time.

As civilizations grew and inventions were made, more Aspects emerged to embody the new concepts that came with the growth of mankind.

Depending on which kingdom you hailed from, you would receive a different story of how the Aspects came to be. The Salandar Union says that the Aspects are the brightest flames that were left from the fire of the Universal Rebirth, molded into human souls. The Faerus States say that the Aspects were chosen to represent the soul of Existence. As for our Regalis Empire, the religious believe that Aspects are humans whose souls were fragments of the All-Father, the one true god, after he shattered himself to beget creation. These are but a few origin stories amongst countless others, and it would take forever to summarize, let alone discuss, them all.

Though we all may have varying ideas as to why Aspects exist, we hold these undeniable truths. Aspects have existed as long as man has, Aspects are powerful, and Aspects will undeniably shape our future for the best or the worst.
