Her Mother's Birthday

The room was quiet, only the sound of Alexander flipping the document could be heard. He turned his gaze to the girl that was sitting at the coffee table at the right corner of the room. He gave up when she cried this morning. To make her stop, he offered to bring her to the office. And like a kid was offered a candy, it worked on Camellia, her eyes delighted on the spot.

"Hungry?" He asked, waiting for Camellia to respond.

"Nope." She gave him a bright smile. "Don't worry, continue with your work." She didn't want her present to be a disturbance for him in doing his job so she carried on reading the novel that she brought along when they left home.

Knock knock!

"Come in." Alexander looked at the person that entered the door. "Everyone is ready?"

"Yes, sir." Joshua, the young programmer answered while stealing a glance at Camellia. She caught his interest the moment she stepped in the company, totally his type.
