SOMEONE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEA

The stormy sea raged like a beast threatening to devour the boat

"Drag the sails and adjust the helms, the storm is upon us" yelled the captain of the fishing boat.

"We won't last long, it's getting stronger and stronger. We need to take shelter" spoke a stout-looking man.

"The end is nigh, repent I tell you repent. For your death shall be wondrous and beneficial for the lord" screamed a shady looking man with unkept hair and dirty clothes making him look like a vagabond.

"Someone sedate the pastor, call t.."

"Captain, we were just contacted by the coast guard, we need to turn back now a mega tsunami is coming" reported the comms officer

As soon as the captain turned around, a collosal wall of water over 30meters high looked down upon them.

The storm hid it so well that it wasn't noticable till it was to late, clutching the pendant on his neck, he remembered his wife.

'only the sea can kill a fisherman' were her last words before she died in his arms, cancer was a curse that left no one alive.

Coming crashing down everything paused, the waves and noise, a feeling of tranquility came over everybody.

"Mom"cried a blonde haired boy

"No!"turned the mother staring down at him

"I need to go, everybody is going. I can't be the social outcast because of that" he screamed again kicking a vase down.

It fell down to the floor breaking once before everything stopped, the same feeling of tranquility washed over them as they felt like nothing could bother them again in the world.

"Be careful lest the cave collapse, there's a serac above us" the expedition leader hollered his voice laced with a sense of urgency.

"I know I know, if it falls, we're all dead but I'm just doing what you told me to do" the youngest expedition mumbled out stricking the wall fiercely.

Multiple voices rang out in a matter of seconds all attacking him.

'guess this is as far as I go' the expedition leader thought looking down to his feet, he never achieved his dream but his life was ending.

But the cave never collapsed nor did he die but the feeling of tranquility washed over them all as time seemed to stop.
