Chapter 6

"We're close." Reymund said. There are more people walking with them. Most of them are wearing hoods to protect themselves from the sunlight.

The capital is composed of small houses built very close to one another. Stalls of different kinds of cheap accessories lined up the pathway.

"Wow, the capital is so big and there's so many people!" Seiran said excitedly. The capital isn't actually big but since it's Seiran's first time to be in such a place, she thinks it's actually a big place.

Reymund find her actions adorable and funny unlike the first day he saw her where he felt embarrased just because of when Seiran looked excitedly out the window.

"Miss with the beautiful silver hair!" Someone called from the side. Seiran looked at the person who called her. It was a middle-aged woman selling jewels.

"Come buy some in here. I assure you they have very high quality and they're not even expensive!" She said as she spread her arms. Reymund pulled her arm and said, "how could that be high quality jewels, they aren't even shining."

As they walk, people turn their heads towards the girl. Some people even greet her and Seiran greeted them back.

"Why does their face become red when I catch them looking at me?" She asked Reymund innocently. He just chuckled and pat her head, ignoring her answer.

"School starts tomorrow so we have to stay here at the inn overnight. I have to organize your papers today. You'll be going to school under the name, Seiran Volt." Reymund said as he put his bag beside the bed.

"Do you want to be a long range warrior or mage support?" He asked. Seiran thought hard but couldn't choose. Reymund suddenly remembered that every year, the school gives out fliers for freshman students. He went out for a bit and quickly returned then gave the paper to Seiran.

The title said: Be a Mage or a Warrior?

The half of the paper contains informations about being a mage, same as the other half for the warriors.

Mage has a support position and attack position. In warrior there's a short range kind and a long range.

If you choose being a mage then you will prioritize in strengthening your magical power. You can yield a weapon so you could defend yourself while repleneshing your mana.

If you choose being a warrior, you have to prioritize building your physical strength. You could also learn magic too.

"What's the difference? I could learn both anyway." Seiran said. There was a note at the end of the paper saying: You could also be both of them!

She pointed that part to Reymund but he just shake his head.

"Nope. Sorcerers prioritize in training ther magical powers so it's hard for them to strengthen their body. Mostly they learn weaponry just for self defense. Warriors prioritze in building up their physical strength so when they learn magic, they can only do it for small things like healing small cuts or for enemy's distraction for their surprise attack." He explained then he pointed the last note.

"As for the note there, no one does that because it's such a hassle to learn both at the same time. Some tried it but quit after a week of doing it." He added.

After Seiran made her decision and told Reymund about it, he started his way towards the school. Just as he entered the gate, a friend of his hooked his arm around his shoulder.

"Hey! Why aren't you staying at our dorm?" He asked when he saw Reymund bringing nothing with him.

"Your arm's heavy, Ron!" He said and took his arm off of him. "I'm helping a friend of mine to apply for this school." His friend, Ron, whistled.

"The one people talked about? A silver haired girl with bright red eyes? A beauty, they said, amidst this sea of commoners?" He asked. Reymund rolled his eyes at the last part but nodded anyway.

"I get to see such a beauty?" He asked excitedly. Reymund put his palm on Ron's face to wipe out his creepy look.

"Yuck! That's tasted salty!" Ron said.

"Idiot I should go now." He said and walked away before his friend could say more.

"Good afternoon, dean." He greeted as he came inside the room. He gave Seiran's information then the dean asked what her class would be.

"A long range warrior. Weapon, bow and arrow."

Meanwhile, Seiran is comfortably sitting on the bed while thinking about her class.

"I have a small amount of mana within me so learning more about archery would be the right thing for me." She reassured herself.
