The second invasion I

(3rd Person POV)

Inside Silbern - the Sternritter Hall, the Sternritter have all gathered per Jugram Haschwalth's orders.

"So we're to kill the Shinigami with the Bankai we took from them? What will that accomplish?", Robert Accutrone, Sternritter N asks.

"Well surely we will be able to handle them now that they've been rendered powerless.", BG9 says.

"There is something more ... their hope. His Majesty predicts the captains who have lost their Bankai will use what little time they have looking for ways to fight us without it. They're not convinced they're powerless. They still believe they can defeat us and with luck, be able to reclaim their stolen Bankai.

They only have an outside chance, but the Soul Reapers are still clinging to it as their last hope, their only hope. His Majesty intends to shatter that illusion to destroy both their hopes and their Zanpakuto and make them drink deep from the cup of defeat ... down to the last bitter dregs.", Jugram explains.

"So ruthless and cruel. I like it.", As Nödt says.

"Well, I'll kill anybody you want as long as I get to waste that Doggy captain.", Bambietta Basterbine says.

"I will repeat His Majesty's orders one last time. 'Exterminate the enemy and do it quickly.'"

The days of peace after the first invasion were short-lived. Everyone knew that the battle continued and the Quincy returned when the Wandenreich replaced the entirety of Seireitei. As the Seireitei is replaced with the Wandenreich city, the Shinigami react with confusion and terror.

Inside the Former Squad 1 Barracks, the newly appointed Head Captain Shunsui Kyoraku and his Lieutenant Nanao watch things happen.

"Yare yare ... We anticipated that their attack would come suddenly, like before ... and set up all kinds of measures within Seireitei in preparation ... but nobody foresaw them taking away our home advantage like this.", Shunsui says.

Yhwach watches the scene on his throne while Uryu stands next to him and listens to his tale. Meanwhile, Askin Sternritter designated D appears before the place where the SRDI would be. Jugram on the other hand appears behind Kyoraku and Nanao. All three of them begin to explain what just happened.

"The plan was a success. Unlike the World of the Living, the Soul Society is filled with reishi, our source of power. The things we could do were limitless. We spent a thousand years building up our strength from within the shadows.", Askin Nakk Le Vaar explains.

"In other words, this time, just as we did before, we did not invade the Seireitei by breaking through the Soul Shield Membrane. We were already inside the Soul Shield Membrane.", Jugram explains.

"Welcome. Thanks for the valuable intel. You got to the captain's room very quickly. Our enemy appears blessed with capable men.", Kyoraku said.

"Wandenreich Emperor Aide and Sternritter Grandmaster, Jugram Haschwalth."

"13 Court Guard Squad Head Captain and Squad 1 Captain, Shunsui Kyoraku. I've just been appointed, so you probably didn't know that ... Or does the fact that you came here mean you do know?"

"Yes. That is why I came here first."

"Impatient, aren't we? You've waited a thousand years for this battle. Couldn't you take your time and enjoy it?"

"His Majesty loves peace. He believes the shorter the battle, the better it is. Therefore he issued only one order: Annihilate the enemy instantly."

"I see."

"Who are you? When did you ...?"

"How did you get in here?"

"Come on ... didn't you hear what I just said? Or is the department of R&D intelligent in name only? I didn't come from anywhere. I've been here the entire time.", Askin explained.

"Exactly.", the voice of Mayuri was heard and out of thin air a square door opened revealing Mayuri and Nemu in golden shining clothes.

"You Quincies were in the shadows. Two worlds existing in the same place, never coming in contact with one another. I must say ... Creating another world inside the shadows was pretty absurd. However ... I actually don't mind this absurdity."

"C-Captain. What's with that outfit?"

"Based on the data I collected during our last battle, I was able to surmise that 'shadows' had something to do with the Quincy invasion. That is why I modified my laboratory so that no shadows were created. Now, let's find out whether we're intelligent in name only before you leave shall we?"

"Hmm ... I give up.", Askin says, "You'll take too much time. It's not happening."

"What do you mean by 'take too much time'?", Mayuri asks him.

"To kill you would require trying too many scenarios. I'm fatally bad at doing that kind of detailed work. I prefer just getting it over with. You go and fight someone else. See you.", Askin says and begins to walk away. After three steps, he stops though and turns around again.

"Wait, aren't you coming after me?", he asks.

"Not really. You can go anywhere you want. I need more time to analyze your Spiritual pressure anyway. Or are you ... purposely egging me on because you want me to step into your territory?", Mayuri asks.

"You're a scary one ... I'm glad I didn't give away my abilities."

At that moment spiritual pressure was felt.

"That pressure. Is it Soi Fon?"

"It would appear so. She seems to be overwhelming her enemy without her Bankai!"

"I knew it ... Just like His Majesty predicted. You understand what that means, don't you? If it is as predicted ... it means things are still fatal for your side.", Askin said and then left.

On another battlefield, Bazz-B just burns through any Shinigami he sees.

"Hah! 'Don't let them through' my ass! The invasion's already complete, you idiots! Seireitei is gone! That's it! The End! Is there really any point worrying about whether we 'get through' or not at this stage?", he complains.

"Hm?"

The Shinigami whom he thought he burned, are revealed to be covered in ice by Captain Hitsugaya.

"Your flames don't seem to have made it through either way."

"...Ohhh?"

"Ahhhh, That's right, I remember now. I thought I'd seen you somewhere before! You're the icy captain guy, who got his Bankai stolen by Cang Du!"

"Captain of the 10th Division, Hitsugaya Toushirou."

"I'm Sternritter H - the Heat - Bazz-B! Sounds like a pretty good matchup! Don't ya think?", Bazz-B says and shoots fire towards Hitsugaya.

*BOOOOOM*

Gremmy meanwhile was observing everything from the air again. But unlike the first time, he was not really feeling it today. He thought it was now the best time for him to set some things up for his time to shine. He smiled at the plan he had made while 'imprisoned'. After having spent nearly a millennia alone, he had thought about how he should act when the war started.

At first, he wanted to get out of the 'prison' and join the Shinigami to help them fight the Quincy in the Quincy Blood War. But as the years passed, he changed. It was natural, after all, he was no longer the boy living in the streets, running from cops. He was now Gremmy Thoumeaux, a truly powerful Quincy, with the power to turn imagination into reality. At first, he didn't change, that took a few decades. But eventually, he did change.

As the centuries passed, Gremmy no longer cared as much about the Shinigami whom he had read about in his past life. They weren't his friends and with time, the stories were just that ... stories. He decided to care about himself, first and foremost, which led to his current plan.

He never watned to stay in this Bleach world. He wanted to see other worlds, like the Demon Slayer world. He wanted to experience more things and really feel like a part of something. That was why he didn't outright destroy all of the Quincy. He watned to see what it was like. Sadly, his power and mindset weren't really suited for the Sternritter. He was just too powerful for them. There were only two people who could do something against him now.

One of them was Reio, the Soul King and the other was Yhwach. Gremmy wasn't sure how a fight against Yhwach using the Almighty would go, but he was quite confident he would win. He simply couldn't imagine himself losing, that's all. Against Soul King absorbed Yhwach ... things were looking much different. Especially since there was a lot of power and hax involved. And yet ... Gremmy still couldn't imagine losing.

But he wanted to make sure. There were always unforeseen circumstances and why would he risk his new life, after gaining it?

Gremmy looks at the battlefield once more and then disappears.

Muken is the eighth and final level of the underground prison. Sosuke Aizen was sentenced to 18,800 years in this level for high acts of treason and a long list of other crimes. His condescending remarks during his trial raised the sentencing to 20,000 years.

Muken is a voided space completely sealed off from the outside world, aside from the main tower that serves as the entrance and exit. The vast darkness gives the illusion that it stretches on infinitely.

Inside this voided space, Sosuke Aizen is imprisoned.

In this darkness, a flash of light appears and from this light, a figure enters the prison, Gremmy Thoumeaux. He walks towards the figure who is being restrained with special seals, Sosuke Aizen. He stops walking as soon as he reaches the place where 19 key slots are located on the ground. The key slots, unlock the seals on Aizen's body.

"You can communicate with me, can't you?", Gremmy asks with a smile.

"..."

"Oh, the silent treatment? That was a rhetorical question, it does not require an answer. After all, you talked to Daddy Yuha, did you not?", Gremmy asks.

"..."

"Still no answer? Well, I was about to show you this ...", Gremmy says and takes a strange key from his clothes.

"... who are you Quincy?", the calm and rather pleasant voice is heard through the Muken. Gremmy smiles brightly, throws the key into the air and catches it again. He plays with the key for Aizen to 'see', even though he can't physically see.

"My name is Gremmy, I'm pleased to make your acquaintance."

"What is it you want?"

"Don't you know that already? I thought you had this planned out already. Or was all that only talk?"

"... If yo-"

"Let me stop you there.", Gremmy interrupts Aizen and uses the key he has in his hand, to unlock the mouthpiece of the seals.

"... Why would you do that?"

"How else, am I going to get you free?"

"..."

"What? No smart comment? No, I knew you would do this because I planned for this to happen. I am pretty sure, you expected to be freed by Kyoraku Shunsui, in order to help the Shinigami in their fight against Yhwach. But you didn't expect a Quincy to appear here and free you. Of that I am certain."

"Is that so? So you think you have me all figured out then?"

"Eh, you are a narcissist, who thinks he has a right to rule the world because there isn't anyone else as powerful and smart as you. But let's be real here, you are just lonely. Your idiotic quest to sit on top of the throne has made you use your 'Kyoka Suigetsu' to trick everyone. You used tricks to get what you wanted and only after you had both Hogyoku's, were you brave enough to reveal your true self to the world. You knew you weren't strong enough, so you got help ... from a device."

"..."

"The irony is, that if you take something, it can always be taken away from you ... at least in general. We find ourselves in a difficult situation after all. I know what will happen, but do you? Am I talking this long, to confuse you and set the stage for my plan to kill you, use you or take away your power ...? Who knows."

"A ridiculous notion. I had no intention of deceiving anyone. It's just that none could understand...My true self. They were nothing more to me than a speck of dust. And in my eyes, there is no difference between wiping away one speck of dust or two."

"You are repeating yourself. I already heard that one. Try to stay original, alright? Now, why don't we get to the core of this matter, shall we?", Gremmy asks. 

"Are you a lackey sent from Yhwach to try and destroy me?"

"What makes you think that? What could Yhwach possibly gain by doing that?"

"Yhwach. He desires a world... where fear will no longer be a burden. But... in a world without fear of death... people will never attain the hope that is to be found from casting their fears aside and preserving through them. While it is true that people can continue to press forward through the simple act of living... that is in no way comparable to marching forward in the face of death, while doing their damnedest to keep it at bay. That is why... that is why people have given that very march a unique and special name. 'courage.'"

"How poetic. I was not sent by Yhwach, in fact, he doesn't know I'm here."

"Ah, ambition. A dangerous trait to have when faced against a superior opponent."

"You're joking of course. I have not yet found a superior opponent ..."
