Escape from Maribelle!

I couldn't sleep a wink last night. Knowing someone knows my situation excites me but terrifies me. How do they know? And why do they want to help me? Moreover, why did Pavel hide this from me?

I have so many unanswered questions that I'm begging to be answered.I live as Liselotte, provoking my curiosity about uncertainties I wouldn't have considered if I were back in Korea. I don't know if I should meet up with this guy. Could he be dangerous? No, this is the only person who knows what I'm going through—someone who understands what I'm going through. I must keep my feelings about this mystery profound until I get answers. 

On top of that, I also have to deal with Kaiserin. One wrong move, and you could see me in a casket. I can't handle this stress, which is no different from where I was in Korea. I was a medical student in Korea, and my friends slowly died one by one because they couldn't handle the stress, or they would drop out to another major and ghost me because they needed to focus on their studies rather than friendships. This made me value friendships more than ever. But when I lost my best friend Yunah to suicide. I was at my breaking point. I tried to drown myself, and I ended up here. 

Times like this, I finally know what it means when someone is looking out for you. 

I was stuck in my thoughts before someone knocked on the room.

"Fräulein Liselotte? I've delivered your dresses!"

I was surprised when the maid came inside. She had a whole variety of choices! I felt like a teenage girl all over again.

But that all ended when Pavel came inside.

"Lowly servant, why are you bringing dresses to my daughter?"

"She's going out, my Lord. She wants to explore the town area-"

"I forbid it. On recent multiple occasions, my daughter has tried to take her own life. How will I know she won't do it again? I already failed as a father to stop her when she was under my care. From today forward, you cannot leave this house without my permission. Do you understand that, Liselotte?"

Shit, of course, this would happen. That's why I tried avoiding him today. 

"Liselotte, your actions have backlashes. You must gain my trust again if you want to go outside freely. Maid, what's your name?"

"Maribelle, my Lord!"

"You are assigned to watch my daughter and ensure she doesn't leave."

Pavel left the room, leaving me with only Maribelle. She looked confused and approached me.

"Your father is right! There are lots of more entertaining activities that we can do to waste time!"

Wasting time is the opposite of what I want. I need to go to Destiny's Touch ASAP.

But why is she so good at catching me?

At 11:30 AM, I tried to escape through the balcony, but Maribelle caught me when I did. "Fräulein, this activity isn't fun! Let's do something else!"

At 12:14 PM, I tried to escape by pretending to be a maid. Of course, Maribelle caught me. "Is this your way of playing dress up? If so, let's go back to the room and try on different dresses!"

It was already noon, and whatever I did, Maribelle always caught up to me. I was about to give up hope, but I remembered why I was doing this. To escape a cruel fate worse than death, To escape dying and being tortured in a way that could been worse than what I experienced in Korea. 

Maribelle was by my side every moment of the day. She took Pavel's words to heart. A dedicated maid to her orders is highly noble. 

Around this time of day, I was eating pastries. I invited Maribelle to enjoy these pastries. At first, she declined, but I eventually managed to convince her.

"Maribelle, I need to use the bathroom."

"Oh, okay! I'll come with you-"

"Ah, Maribelle, instead, could you know? Get sanitary napkins?" 

"Oh, of course! I'll be back soon. I'll meet you back here with napkins and a new dress!"

She quickly ran off to get the materials I needed, which was the perfect time to escape. However, I can't escape so soon because everyone is under order to ensure I stay here. Right after Maribelle left, I quickly ran to the garden shed to look at anything useful. 

At times like this, I need someone's approval to guide me on what to do. Maribelle could be back any minute, so I had to be quick. I grabbed a hammer, screwdriver, shear cutters, and anything else that I could hide under my dress.

I had to run back to where I was eating pastries. I was out of breath. But the good thing is that I came before Maribelle.

"Fräulein, I'm here! Use this blanket to cover yourself when we walk to the bathroom!"

"Ah, thank you."

When I finally arrived at the bathroom, I had a garden shed, three tools, a new dress, a blanket, and sanitary napkins. I was looking at the window only to see it was screwed in shut! I couldn't open it at all. Thankfully, I had a screwdriver and could successfully open the window. But the only problem was that it was a high jump. It's either I stop now or risk dying.

But the good thing is that if I try to die, I'll just survive. I definitely should know that. 

It was all or nothing.

JUMP!

The jump was high, but thankfully, I was able to land on a tree. When I managed to get down, I had cuts on my face and my legs. My dress was practically ruined. But I managed to escape Maribelle.
