Pov.Cleo
When I opened my eyes I found myself in an unfamiliar place. It was filled with endless grey fog embracing every inch of this space. As far as my eyes could see everywhere was only fog.
I knew that it was not an illusion because the ground was unusually smooth as if it was carved to perfection without any unevenness. Something that was impossible to achieve with humans' hands or create with mare illusion.
The last things I remembered were endless fog that appeared out of nowhere and covered my body slowly making me lose control over my own body, the words of a demon, and the golden eyes of a maid by his side that suddenly fleshed with radiant light, after that, I Lost Consciousness
Did he get angry because of my desperate attempt of preserving my humanity?
Am I dead and this is an afterlife?
I shook my head to get rid of all kinds of negative thoughts that appeared in my mind and stood up, it was about time to explore this strange place and hopefully find a way to leave.
Because everything looked the same I decided to go straight, and it looked like the most reasonable option.
It didn´t matter how far I walked everything looked the same, no life no creatures, only fog.
I was observing everything to find even the smallest hints that could help me escape and in the process, I realized that this place defies logic.
The surface of the ground was unusually smooth, which me think that I was only walking in circles all the time.
The sky was empty, with no clouds or moon...however, there was still light which was something that should be impossible
There were no trees but I could breathe normally...something that should be impossible.
I could use mana but aside from maintaining my stamina each time it was drained from endless walking or Creating water for drinking there was nothing I could do.
After an unknown period of time, I managed to finally see a gigantic structure in front of me, it was pretty far off from my location but desperation grew in me after all the time that feel like years made me forget about wariness or cautiousness and simple logic.
I strengthened my body with the remaining mana and ran at full speed like the wind.
I stopped when I reached the structure, it was a stone gate that would feel big even for giants, the structure was wide and so tall that it practically pierced the empty sky, on it was a masterfully carved a woman with body similar to a child holding a bow made out of roses and flower in her other hand,
I knew fully who this woman was...who wouldn´t know how gods they worshipped looked like?
It was Goddes of Beauty Cerys holding her divine bow.
Surrounding her were smaller carvings of other gods...even though they were smaller than hers, due to the sheer size of the gate even the smallest carving there was almost 50m long.
The carvings were made so detailed they looked like a real person that will suddenly walk off at any time.
Even I who didn´t care about art couldn't help but let my mouth open in ave, it was too perfect. Each of them was made beautifully along with their divine relics, I was sure that fanatics from church would be already crying on the ground and praying if they ever managed to see this gate.
Gate to heaven....the name that echoed in my mind for some reason.
Is this really the afterlife? Did I die without achieving anything?
"Oh? You are finally here? I thought I would die from boredom..."
The ethereal voice coming from the direction of the gate woke me up from my daze...
As I carefully came closer mist, already cloaked with mana and ready to attack, since I didn´t have any weapons only thing I could use in this situation was either my fist or words depending on the situation, in the worst case even my...body.
The thick mist in front of me suddenly swirled and revealed an ancient throne carved from stone positioned just in front of a giant gate. By side of the stone was standing a woman I never expected to see here.
The Orion´s maid, the woman that betrayed him and cowardly sided with a demon was now standing at the left side of the throne holding the hilt of a golden hemmer that was laid on the ground with both of her hands like a knight that is protecting his king.
My mind stopped when I realized that something was wrong...from her b-back was hanging pair of white wings with sinister black patterns on them.
T-That i-is a-angel?!!!!
"Oy- Ignoring me like this really hurt my fragile heart you know??" The same Ethereal voice reached my ears and penetrated the very core of my being, "his" every word was like a sharp knife that went deeper inside me than the previous one yet at the same time it sounded sweet like a lullaby that would heal my soul and put me into eternal peace.
I knew from the beginning that something was sitting on that throne...it was only that my mind couldn´t accept reality.
I couldn´t move my gaze to see being on the throne even if I wanted.
Every cell in my body was chaotically shaking and screaming in fear telling me to run as far as I can and not look before me. My body long realized before my mind that "being" is not something that should be looked at by mere mortals.
It was like the words a priest in a church a long time ago kept telling us when we were children...
"Divine Is not to be seen! As the minds of humans can´t handle infinity..only madness is a reward for such fools"
I knew there would be no back if I now opened my eyes that closed themselves in a desperate attempt to protect myself...nonetheless, I forced my head to move and forcefully opened my eyes.
I don´t know why I did that.....but even If I were to today die...I want to see...how infinity looks like
There I saw it.....black hair like a river of death, blacker than the darkest night, stretching up several meters in length freely laid on the ground.... 3 pairs of wings that seemed to be made of the purest light forget by gods at the dawn of the times so they can envelop humanity in its warmth...
And the face...I couldn't see "his! face as blood filled my eyes welcoming me into the world of crimson...
Perhaps..infinity is really too much for a human?
"You have really good instinct...even If I am not a god I can still be somehow considered a mythical creature. If you looked at my face...you would maybe be lost far more than eyes" "He" he said unbothered by the fact that I kept bleeding from my eyes while suffering the pain equivalent to thousands of bees poking my eyes every second.
"You may be wondering what is this place and who we are?"
"At first, since you never met me in this form I should properly introduce myself... again
I am what 3 gods like to call...Archangel of Destiny"
"And this is Judgement Hall where we will judge you for sins you committed and would commit in future....big sis"
