Am I the villain?

when I got home I couldn't stop having nightmares about the fox mask, who made it and why did they pick me to have the mask and why did they make me have all those nightmares? Luckily it was time for school so I sluggishly ate my cereal and got on my broom to go to school I then headed to my class where Amanda came up to me,

"Um are you okay, you look like you didn't get much sleep at all"

I looked at her, groaned, and then lied my head on my table, I have had barely any sleep in the last twenty-four hours after what happened yesterday so honestly, any rest that I can get must be savoured as that is what is keeping me from just passing out. I then proceeded to pass out and when I woke up Amanda was by my side.

"Please be ok, please be ok, please be ok."

I got up,

"Amanda? what happened and what the hell is this room it's full of pink toys and teddy bears why is this in the school?"

"This kinda isn't the school it's kinda my bedroom..."

"isn't it a bit too early to take me to your room?"

"I hate you,"

"you love me,"

"no, I don't,"

"yes, you do,"

"Why did I bring you here?"

"because you love me silly,"

"God just shut up already"

I put my arms around Amanda's neck.

"get shorter"

"you get taller."

"no that's too hard you get shorter."

"and how am I supposed to do that?"

"I dunno just do it"

"you're such a handful you know."

"Hey, Amanda can I tell you something?"

"yeah go ahead,"

"I've been having these nightmares recently where there's been a person in a fox mask killing people and destroying everything and it always ends just before they speak and the craziest thing is when I first had this dream I found the fox mask next to me when I woke," I pulled out the fox mask "quite frankly it scares me, it makes me think that maybe I'm the person in those dreams that's killing everyone, that maybe I'm the big bad villain that everyone hates!"

"well I mean you can't be the person that everybody hates since I don't hate you, also it's just a dream and probably a prank by some graduates or something and if they try to do it again I'm here to protect"

"Thanks, I guess but I don't need protecting I'm strong enough to protect myself from some people a year or two older than me"

"alright just try to have a good nights rest, I'll be in the room next door if you need me for anything."

As soon as she left I looked at the mask, is this who I'm supposed to be, a villain? I need to stop thinking about this, it's taking over my life. I put the mask away and decided to go on a walk to get a bit of fresh air. I went back to the forest where I found the mask, maybe I could find something to give me answers to what this mask is. I walked through the forest until I saw that figure again, it started to run away but I wasn't letting it get away again.

"Who are you and what is this mask?"

an unfamiliar voice came from the figure.

"get out of here and don't follow me, they're trying to make you into a villain just run"

"Who's trying to make me a villain, hey answer me!"

before the figure could answer it disappeared leaving me alone, I headed back to my home and went to sleep and for the first time since I found the mask I didn't have a nightmare about it.
