First expedition

[The prerequisite for Metal Sphere.

- 4L of Mells Bloodline.

- An owl metal creation of Mells bloodline.

- 2nd stage of metal origin.]

[Your metal origin is close to a breakthrough.]

Reigner studied the metal owl within his grasp as much as he could. He was trying a lot of ideas popping off in his mind, mostly trying to modify the veins and add new ones to find clues and get an understanding.

A pleasant message finally appeared from his Item Creation System.

The Metal Sphere can be both items and techniques. The technique is also an item that is like a book. Reigner can either materialize it or just absorb the knowledge born out from his studies. Looking at the new message, Reigner narrowed his eyes.

The bloodline of Mells is obviously needed for this metal sphere! Reigner also needed his understanding, but it was not mentioned as he already achieved that by getting this message. He cursed out loud, then inwardly spoke.

'I should be already accustomed to that...'

Every step is filled with death, killing, and torture.

At least either one of those. The earthling silently stood with his eyes closed, trying to stifle the storming emotions filled with disgust and aversion. Soon, he opened his eyes, the eyes that were as calm as a lake.

On the earth, Reigner also had seen and even felt a little bullying and torment. Both worlds have good and bad sides, whether fantasy or not. Reigner's body moved by itself as he strode toward Paula, sitting on the bench in the yard.

She was assailed by the birds, covering her from top to bottom. Though she was happy to be blessed with so many stories at once. Those small creatures were always looking forward to sharing their recent findings.

The wide, fantasy world was opened vastly for Paula right now.

Looking at the adorable princess, Reigner stuck the tree with his back and patiently waited for the show to end. The breeze was constantly passing through him as if laughing at him. But Reigner was fine with that.

This is exactly the woman that falls to the 'good side' of the fantasy world.

The woman that erase the negative emotions with her smile alone and change Reigner so much it might think he has split personality.

"Noble Medusa, I have notified all generals... I also told Mr. Johne to visit you."

"Good."

Yuri, the maid spoke out of nowhere, but she didn't even dare to destroy the fun of her master. He was looking at the princess in a unique smile and expression that it would just make him mad if her voice was too loud or her presence entered his eyesight.

When Reigner mindlessly answered, Yuri, nodded, and shifted to stay next to him. Her eyes also went for an adorable princess and some time passed just like that.

"So Mr. Reigner is going on the expedition... But this border... is close to The Lora Kingdom. They are one of the worst opponents for us."

The Lora Kingdom.

The origins of this kingdom are mysterious, but they are specialized in controlling the magic. The earth, wind, and water. Those three elements are their specialties, with the royal lineage possessing all three.

But, the royal children are a few in numbers and treated very carefully.

"I know, Paula. That's why I asked Mells Family for some help."

"Really?"

Why was Reigner lying? Paula could only ask him vacantly yet Reigner just stroked her hair in confirmation. He added that their owl metal creation should help them if the nobles from the Lora Kingdom suddenly engage in the incursion.

A small worry appeared on Paula's face as Reigner blatantly lied to her. There can be many reasons for a man to lie. Sometimes it can be out of worry, sometimes just to not burden the other party...

He was lying after her lastest statement.

There was always a kind of barrier between them. At first, Paula didn't mind as she thought that Reigner was respecting her will. If both of them had spent their nights in a fiery way, then Reigner would become even closer to the metal aura, his abilities and senses strengthened.

It would help him with his research and weapon modification.

She had royal blood after all.

But Reigner had never mentioned it and both of them only enjoyed the nights full of cuddling. It was pleasant and nice, but Paula was already ready to fulfill her duties as a wife. Because of that, the adorable princess had a lot of inward struggles whether she should be the one to initiate it or not...

However, the fourth princess realized that there is more to that barrier.

"Mr. Reigner, can I go with you? No, I want to go with you. If you don't take me, then I will be mad at you!"

"..."

Could he refuse?

A few days later, Reigner's troops had gathered at the gate. The Mells Family had sent the small force of theirs including the descendant with close ties to the main lineage of Mells Family. Her bloodline was not that contaminated and her owl creation surely is going to be useful when it comes to scouting the lands.

Reigner gently carried his wife, the fourth princess into the carriage, then the troops went forward to the border splitting up the lands between the two kingdoms.
