Her sneer turned to silent laughter for she felt proud at the way she had acted and the way Clark still thinks that she had nothing to do with everything that happened after all this time.
She knew of course that he had searched for clues regarding her whereabouts after all these years and knew that all he found was that of her traveling to so many places as if running away from them.
Then when she found that she has the token all along she returned to take back what was hers only to be faced with people who does not listen to her despite the token on her hands.
That was the story that she wanted them to believe, the story she wanted them to delude themselves with.
And currently it was working perfectly like a charm
