Chapter 22: Strength in Numbers
Rowan
I’m so upset with my brother and his mate. They ruined one of the most perfect moments of my life. Jules was in my arms and was ready to spend the day with me, but then she sees Amara, and the morning quickly goes to shit.
A knock on the door startles me out of my grim thoughts. Striding forward, I open the door. “Tristan, hey,” I mutter in surprise.
Tristan smiles. “Hey. Sorry for coming by without calling, but I was out and about and thought maybe we’d have some… you know… brother bonding time.” He sounds a little unsure, which is a little endearing. I’ve meant to invite him to meet my family, but with everything that has been happening with Jules, I kind of forgot.
“It’s alright, bro. Come in.”
He walks inside and looks around curiously. “You want to go out for breakfast?”
I nod. “Sure. Give me a minute to dress.”
