Salicia gaped with her mouth open in surprise at her aunt’s advice, but she walked away to get Raven’s drink anyway.
“The servants leave earlier here,” Crescia remarked with a smile.
“Oh? Is that a good thing?” Raven asked with a surprised look in his eyes.
“Yes, it is, because they start early in the mornings,” Crescia replied.
“Any specific reason?” Raven asked. It all sounded strange to him. Like a set up. Salicia’s parents were out and the servants were off duty. No witnesses if anything bad happened to him.
“Am I gonna be in danger here after all?” he asked himself in concern as he sat down on a couch.
“So, it seems as if your worst fears are coming true?” Crescia commented as Raven sat there looking at his hands which were folded in front of him.
