Murder of a Professor

Jack woke up on hearing a loud bang on the door. He felt tears in his eyes. He was literally crying while dreaming. He seemed attached with this dream. 

He got up from his bed and opened the door, Rohan was standing there with a wide smile on his face. 

" Hey! Your eyes are swollen. You were crying now? Oh! You were missing me. Is it so? That's why you were crying? " Rohan said 

Jack knew his funny nature but he was not in mood to joke around. 

Jack replied, " I was not crying. I was sleeping and you always show up at wrong time. " 

Rohan asked, " Why are you scowling at me? " 

Jack angrily said, " Why did you lie to me yesterday that you wouldn't go college and handed his bag to me to return but you know very well that i don't like him. " 

" Actually after giving his bag to you, i remembered that i have to give presentation. That's why i went to college but you know so much issue was going in the college related to the murder. " Rohan told him. 

" Anyways why did you miss the class today. I was going to absent, that's why? Drake was also absent. " Rohan said. 

Jack sneered at him and said, " Don't think yourself so important. I was just exhausted. So, i decided to take rest today. " 

Rohan got little serious and asked, " You have any idea? Who would had killed him? " 

Jack said, " Don't know. There was no any evidence at all and professor also said, " That area was restricted of wild animals. ' but the wound was like any wild animal had attacked on him and sucked his blood. " 

Rohan asked Drake's bag. Jack gave the bag back to him. 

Rohan took the bag and said, "Did you open it? " 

Jack gave him scary look. 

Rohan said, " I was kidding. I am gonna leave now otherwise you will kill me. " 

Rohan left his home with the bag. 

Jack again rested on his bed. He was much disappointed. He couldn't understand what could be the meaning of his dream. How can be this dream related to me? " 

His phone rang. It was Elena's call. He picked up the phone. 

" Hello! " Jack said in faint voice. 

" You are sounding low today. Is there any problem? Today you were absent also in the class. That's why I called you. " Elena asked. 

Jack said, " I am fine. What about Drake? Is he okay now? " 

" Drake is doing well. He will be fine within a week. Okay Jack. Then i hang up the phone. Talk you later. Bye.. " 

Jack said, " Bye." 

Jack went to balcony where mom, dad and sister were already sitting and talking there. 

Jack's mom said, " Jack, you are looking so tensed. You can share with us whatever is going in your mind." 

Jack said, " It's really nothing mom. I was just affected by the incident, nothing else. I will be okay after few days." 

Jack didn't want to share the nightmarish dream with them. He was not sure if there would be any truth in this dream or not. 

Jack's dad said, " We know, it was really painful but we can't avert anything. So, it's better to wash away memory of that incident and feel good. " 

Jack said nothing but nodded his head.

Next day in the college .Everybody was busy in the classroom. Today it was the last day for submission of the project work of Psychology. The professor was very strict. He already warned them to complete it before the deadline. Otherwise, no one could pass them in this subject. 

Elena was very nervous. She joined the college late so her work was incomplete. Drake was helping her in completing it. The professor entered the classroom and asked them to submit it. 

Professor asked, " Is there anyone who has not yet completed the project work? Raise your hand. I just want to see their faces." 

Elena raised her hand. She was about to tell her reason but the professor didn't listen her and told her that she would get fail marks. She got very disappointed. 

Drake told her, " Don't worry. We will talk to him again after this class and ask him to give some extra time." 

Elena asked, " Okay! But what to do if he will not give extra time." 

Drake said, " He will agree with us. Otherwise he is gonna pay for it very hard. " and started laughing. 

Elena said, " In such situation also you are joking around. Don't talk to me." 

Drake said, " I just wanted to make you laugh.if he won't give then we will talk to the principal. He will understand the situation." 

Professor collected all the submitted projects and left the classroom. 

Drake and Elena went after him to the staff-room. Jack used to get jealous whenever he found Elena with Drake. He saw them going out together. Rohan, Jack and some other boys were talking. 

Suddenly, Rohan got anxious and started shouting and said, " Jack, again I made the same mistake as usual. I didn't mention my name on the project. He is gonna scold me till I die. " 

He told Jack to come with him in the staff-room but Jack didn't want to go there because he knew that Elena and Drake would already be there. So, he refused him to go with him. 

Rohan went alone while cursing Jack, " You are not my friend anymore. You abandoned me in this distress. My curse will make you fail too if I will get fail mark."
