Village Fair

"knock!"

"Darling! Elsa, let your mother in, at least for now. Don't starve yourself, love, please open the door." But there was no response from the other side.

"Okay love, your father and I will tell you everything, you want to know. Every question of yours, and we also have something to tell you. We promise, okay, and we're not lying this time."

After a while, they heard the door opening.

Elsa stands with the door open, and her eyes were swelled with tears, seeing that a mother's heart was broken, she pulled Elsa towards her chest, and hugged her tightly.

"Forgive us, love, we know you have grown up, but in our eyes, you are still our little treasure. Don't cry anymore. Now sit."

Elsa saw her father come toward her and sat next to her. 

"I am sorry Elsa, I am selfish, always thinking about myself, but I love you so much. I can't help myself from being protective towards you," Robert said, holding his daughter's shoulder.

"Now we are going to tell you something that happened after you were born, listen to us carefully."

Elsa was already feeling uneasy in their voices, so she turned her head towards her father and softly said, "I am so sorry, father, for my rudeness before and I felt bad afterward."

"Shh! It's okay love," Robert kissed her daughter's head and said again, "Now listen to the day you're born. Something unpredictable happens, so we called someone. A person who knows magic."

"Like fairy father,"  Elsa curiously asked. 

"Yes, but they are not fairies, they are witches. Shortly after you were born you were surrounded by a silver glowing light and it was so bright that no one could see you through that light. Your mother and I both were scared, not because of seeing you, but afraid of losing you. 

We prayed and waited, so many years for a baby, but we have always been disappointed by our fate. That is why you are a treasure to us, but after a while, that surrounding light suddenly merged inside you. So, we got panicked, Elsa. 

We know doctors can't help us in this matter, so we called a white witch. We saved her once, from someone bad. Then we found out that she is a white witch an…'d…"

Elsa cut them in the middle, "White witch?"

"Yes, love," her mother replied.

"There are two types of witches in this world, Black, and white. Black is a wicked witch. We call them corrupted witches, but white witches are pure, they are good in their hearts.

So we called Rose. She is the white witch, but no one knows except us. She was surprised to see you, and she told us you are just like her," Jasmine said.

"You are a white witch, Elsa, but more strong than her. You are even the most powerful of the existing witches, but our only fear is your fate, which got sealed with a dangerous man.

She also said that when you turn sixteen, on the last full moon of the seventh month, you will glow again like before, and from that day on, your life will change completely.

You will get a lot of power that day, or maybe you already got it. She couldn't say more than that because you are much more powerful than her," Robert slowly stops himself from squeezing her daughter's hand. 

"Father, I am a witch but both of you are human." Elsa could not understand their words at all.

"Yes, we are also confused, but Rose said that you are a gifted child and your fate is bound with some prophecy, and you are born to fulfill it," her mother said again.

"Father, I don't want to leave you two, " Elsa panicked.

"We won't allow it, don't worry I called Rose when the time came she will be present here. And she said she will spell something on you that no one can see your glow. Even if someone sees it, she will take you far away from here and hide you for a few days," Robert said and kissed her daughter's head. 

"Let's have dinner. I will make my daughter's favorite pudding tomorrow," Jasmine said. 

"Tomorrow we will go to the village fair," Robert said, but it shocked Elsa, so turned back her head to her father and said.

"Father, you don't have to do this for me. Now I know the reason. I was so stupid before that I yelled at you before. I am sorry for everything."

"No honey, it's okay, we'll be safe there. We should enjoy our life together. Your father and I will fix everything for you. We love you infinity, Elsa.

Now stop crying, or you will look like a swollen pig tomorrow," her mother remarked, bringing a small smile to her face. 

"Okay, Mother, I won't cry, and I have to be fed because you called me a pig, " Elsa said in a choking voice. 

'Hahaha!' they all laughed together, but Elsa hides her uneasiness well through her smile, and she silently swears to protect her parents. 

'Don't worry, Mom and Dad. I promised one day we will roam everywhere without any fear. I will take care of both of you.'
