4: System Unveiling.

When he opened his eyes, his nostrils were instantly pierced with the intense smell of smoke and the incredible thirst he was feeling was one thing he couldn't ignore as well.

" So thirsty." He mumbled as he slowly got up from the ground.

He caught sight of the well that was in the middle of the now burnt-down village and slowly walked towards it.

After a few minutes of arriving at the well he realized that no matter how much he drank, his intense thirst wasn't getting quenched in the slightest.

" The thirst, it's still there." He mumbled as he fell to his knees and began to sniff the air, " that smell, what is it?"

Still, on the ground, he slowly crawled towards one of the dead bodies of the villagers that were lying dead on the ground.

The familiar scent he was perceiving all along suddenly grew more intense and fangs instantly grew out from his mouth. Without a hint of hesitation, he sank his teeth into the body and began drinking away at what was left of his blood.

After that, it seemed that his senses had come back to him as he drew out his fangs from the dead and looked up at the moonlit sky as blood slowly dripped out from his mouth.

" What happened to everyone?"

He could feel the sudden new energy coursing through him and all his senses were incredibly heightened, especially his sense of smell.

At the moment the only scents he was concentrating on was that of those he was familiar and despite the fact that they were all dead, he was sure that one of them was missing.

" That bloody Witch Master." He thought as he slowly got up from the ground, " I-I'll kill you... Just dare lay one hand on her."

He fell down after a few steps but was quick to get back on his feet once again and continue forward towards the village's exit.

Completely drained of energy he continued to struggle forward until he arrived at the area where the cliff was demarcated and unexpectedly, Sava Savonic was standing there with a malicious gaze on his face.

He couldn't help but hold onto one of the ends of the cliff as he tried to regain his breath. Sava slowly began walking towards him with a look filled with malicious intent and his hand held out.

" This power..." He said, raising his right hand above the young man's head, "Why don't you give it to me?"

That was when it occurred to him. No one had survived except for him and even he was barely clinging on to life at the moment but Sava, seemed completely fine, without a single scratch on his body.

" You bastard! Your betrayal will not stand you hear me." He said, trying to stand up straight, " You knew about the Witch Master's arrival to Gaal didn't you?"

Without saying a single word to him Sava slowly reached out his hand and placed it on his chest. Suddenly, he felt every ounce of life he had left in him slowly begin to leave and after Sava was done, he fell straight to the ground.

" You traitor." He mumbled as he tried aimlessly to lift up his body while tears slowly began to fill his eyes which heightened his already blurred gaze.

" What a failure," Sava said before instantly vanishing.

When he woke up he found himself lying on a bed with his shirt taken off once again and there were bandages wrapped around the upper part of his waist.

His body was in an excruciating amount of pain but he couldn't get what happened before he arrived on the bed out of his mind.

" To think that... Sava of all people would be the one behind it all. My sister wasn't taken by the Witch Master either, everything was all his doing." He thought as tears slowly began to run down his cheeks.

" If you're awake I would like you to know that my father wants you to eat with us while you both have a little conversation."

" I'll go see him but..." He was left frozen in his speech when he turned around to see the lady standing by the door to the room.

Her long brown hair, slightly rounded amber eyes, and slightly oval-shaped face. Facial features that reminded him dearly of his sister. Her elegance of beauty was striking in every possible way and it helped captivate him as well.

After a moment of awkward silence he continued, "But I'm not hungry."

He didn't know why but he actually didn't feel hungry although he was expecting that he would be famished by now after everything he had been through.

After that, he slowly got down from the bed and walked towards the exit where she was standing. She turned around and left after he came a few centimeters close to her and he followed behind.

After going down the stairs they both arrived in the living room where a middle-aged man was sitting opposite a lady who seemed to be in her early thirties who was obviously the girl's mother and there was a boy by his side as well.

" Good evening Sir." He said as he stood before them with his head slightly bent forward.

" Now then why don't you come have a sit." The man said, patting the seat that was to his right which Sina proceeded towards, "How about we start with you telling me your name."

" It's Sina Alvarez." He said with another slight bow as he slowly took his seat.

He now had a shirt on and just as he thought the food even though it smelt and looked nice didn't move him at all. Not only that, while the boy was staring him to death the two ladies didn't seem to show any interest in him.

The man slowly placed his cutleries on the table and said, "Well you see, I'm a merchant here in Avan who happened to be paying your village a visit when I found out it was destroyed and you were lying right in front of it unconscious. I hope you don't mind, but it would help if could elaborate on what really happened?"

Sina turned his gaze to the ground and said, " My village was attacked by a man called the Witch Master. He was the one who destroyed the village... A-and killed everyone there." He said, struggling hard to hold back his tears.

" I see..." The man said, taking up his cutleries once again, "Well the town of Avan is in quite some trouble as well but I'll be sure to put in a word for you while you remain here."

" Sure sir, thanks for your kindness."

" You're welcome to stay with us until then as well." The man said to him with a bright smile on his face, "Now then why don't you have your meal."

With that said he slowly reached out and picked up the fork and knife that were lying in front of him on the table.

He slowly took a bite and he could still taste the greatness of the meal but the sudden gratifying feeling he got each time he ate something as good even if he wasn't hungry was suddenly gone. It still tasted the same but didn't feel the same.

He barely managed to get through half of his meal before returning to his room where he sat on the floor with his back against the bed as he constantly contemplated what had happened before and after Gaal was destroyed.

He could barely manage to keep his eye shut and for some reason the more he dwelt on it, the more the overwhelming feeling that he was no longer the same gripped tighter onto him.

He staggered down the stairs and out of the house where he saw a huge tree sitting in front of it to the right.

He slowly walked towards it and leaned against the tree. He gazed up at the sky in an attempt to clear his mind of everything he had witnessed recently but it didn't seem to be doing much.

" So you enjoy the night sky view as well." The boy said, approaching him, "It's always dull around here since I have no one to play with but spying on my sister while she sings over at the river is quite fun you can come join me if you want."

Sina slowly looked at the boy who was standing in front of him with a bright smile on his face, one that perfectly resembled his father's.

Maybe company was what he needed to get a hold of himself but accompanying the boy was one thing he didn't plan on doing.

" Alright then." He said, getting up from the ground as he tried to put a smile on his miserable face.

Ding!

The moment he stood up he heard a sudden noise go off in his head and right after that a message right in front of him.
