You remembered how disappointed and shattered you felt - that's how Elsa felt after she got home from school.
You know when you are anticipating an answer from someone who left without saying a word that void, how anxious you feel why awaiting them - that how Elsa felt as each minute went bye.
At that moment you hear your subconscious mind assuming anything just to come up with an answer or a word to fit in the puzzle. As each moment passed bye she was tommented with all kind of focus in her head telling her things she didn't want to believe.
