System Update

THE NEXT DAY:

The first rays of light showed up on the horizont. Daniel was sitting on his bed, pondering what to do when he suddenly remembered the painful walking he took yesterday.

"Ahh, how can I forget this. The system quest, I have to lose my fat in 20 days. I wanted to do that even without the system quest. Okay, let's concentrate only on this one thing for now and I figure out the rest later."

Daniel wanted to finish this quest as soon as possible. The previous owner of his body literally wasted 17 years of time. It was something unacceptable for the current owner. Daniel was someone who was capable to conquer his previous world. Thus, he knew the importance of time almost better than everyone. He started his training instantly after breakfast. The little forest beside the city was a perfect place for doing this. Daniel quite liked the fresh air there and decided to do his training in the forest.

Training Day 1

Many things happened during this day. He found out a new function of the system and he found out a new thing about himself. First: The system reduced his fatigue every time when he got tired. Daniel was able to double his limit thanks to this function. The second was even more shocking. The system informed Daniel that he was not human anymore because his DNA evolved due to the change in his soul. He also felt more calm than usual. His eye color changed from blue to gold. He only found out about this after the training. He lost a shocking 4% of body fat with just running.

Training Day 2

Daniel started the day just like day 1 with running. Nothing unusual happened. He lost 3% body fat in the end of the day.

Training Day 10

Daniel was now capable of doing push ups, pull ups and other kind of exercises. Muscles started to replace the fat. He was not fat anymore. As a result, his handsome face was even more breath taking and the 180cm (5' 10) tall body gave him a cool style. His current body fat was 15%.

Training Day 11

Daniel started losing his body fat rapidly. Thus, he decided to take a resting day and learn some things about the previous owner of his body. First he checked his phone. Daniel was shocked when he saw the contact list and the messages. Only his parents and the messages was all about begging for money.

"Oh my god, this guy has zero social life. Well, it's even better for me like this. Truly like a new life, but what do I say to my parents? Face changing surgery? Ah, let's just pretend that I don't know how this happened."

Next, Daniel searched on the internet regarding his DNA changing. He found out that the last case of DNA evolving was the cat girls case and that was around 2000 years ago. At least he can tell the truth to his parents now, since this DNA evolving is something possible.

Basically, human soul is strongly connected with personality. Most of the personalities are humanlike, but there are very few cases when the personality resembles other creatures, like cats, elves and dragons. The soul begins to change at that time. This results in a more suitable body.

"This is all good, but then what's with my body? I don't think it's a dragon or elf."

Suddenly, the system interrupted his thoughts and told him something logical, interesting and frightening at the same time.

[System message: Congratulations! You are the firstborn of a new race. This will be recorded in the history books!

Host acquired the title: Ancestor.]

"Hmm I was ready for something like this. I mean, the cat girls also born this way right?"

Daniel started pondering on this. Cat girls changed a lot after the evolving. They got more agile and the personality changed too. Daniel was a little worried when he thought about the personality change.

"It's not like I can do anything about it right? Let's just sleep."

Thus, Daniel fell asleep.

Training Day 12-15

Daniel continued with his body training in the next few days. He got stronger and lost fat at the same time. Six pack abs appeared and his body became more toned. He achieved all of this in a short span of 15 days. Something like this was supposed to take more than 2 months for a normal person. Not to mention a very fat person. It was all thanks to the system. Finally, a long awaited system message appeared before his eyes.

Daniel was happy and thought of accepting even without thinking.

"Wait, I didn't know abou- "

Daniel wanted to continue his sentence, but he entered the unconscious state almost instantly. The only problem was that he fell asleep in the middle of the forest.

24 hours later

Daniel slowly opened his eyes and looked around in a half dazed state. He was about to stand up when a young feminine voice greeted him.

"Congratulations host you succesfully updated the system"

Yes, the system spoke to him and the system window appeared, but there was a slight emotion in the voice and only the message without the [System message] sentence.
