After three years of marriage, Wendy Stewart was used to Michael Lucas's sarcastic remarks, his frequent threats about getting divorced, and even his indulgence of a mistress. She thought that she could bear with this her entire life, until she accidentally got pregnant with a child that Michael did not want. Finally despondent, Wendy signed the divorce agreement and left. She thought they could have parted ways forever, but Michael refused to stop looking for her after the divorce. When they met again, she was the world's top designer. Smiling sweetly at her ex-husband, she said, "My dear, we're already divorced." Michael simply stared at her coldly, "Tell me, what will it take for us to reconcile?"
The doctor continued knocking for a long while, but Wendy had no intention of opening the door.
Left with no choice, the doctor returned to the underground hospital and asked the principal physician what to do.
When the principal physician heard that Wendy was unwilling to come, he frowned and said, "Mr. Lucas's condition remains critical. We had just resuscitated him last night and helped him past the most critical phase.
"However, if his heart rate continues to drop, his life would be in danger again."
"Well, what do we do?" the doctor asked once more.
"Find the key to the door. We must force Ms. Stewart here by hook or by crook. If you can't find the key to the door, break it down," the principal physician instructed.
"We must let Mr. Lucas hear Ms. Stewart's voice. If he hears it, he might have some hope."
His subordinate nodded and went ahead to carry out his instructions.
