Unwanted Marriage: Honey, No More Divorce!
After three years of marriage, Wendy Stewart was used to Michael Lucas's sarcastic remarks, his frequent threats about getting divorced, and even his indulgence of a mistress. She thought that she could bear with this her entire life, until she accidentally got pregnant with a child that Michael did not want. Finally despondent, Wendy signed the divorce agreement and left. She thought they could have parted ways forever, but Michael refused to stop looking for her after the divorce. When they met again, she was the world's top designer. Michael was busy all the way until 11 at night.
Just as he was about to get ready to knock off, he received a call from Evan.
"Are you free? Let's meet up and have a chat," Evan said.
Michael looked at the time and said, "Sure, where are you?"
Evan was at a place that served barbequed food. Michael picked up his jacket and his car keys and drove over.
While walking, Michael sent Wendy a text, "I will be coming back late tonight. Don't wait up and go to bed early. Love you."
Michael did not call because he was afraid that Wendy might already be sleeping.
But Wendy was not asleep yet and she replied immediately.
Even though she had just replied with a simple "ok", Michael could not help smiling.
When Evan saw Michael, he immediately raised his hand to greet him.
"What would you like to eat?" Evan asked.
It was Michael's first time at a place like this. He could not help but take a second look at his surroundings.
