After three years of marriage, Wendy Stewart was used to Michael Lucas's sarcastic remarks, his frequent threats about getting divorced, and even his indulgence of a mistress. She thought that she could bear with this her entire life, until she accidentally got pregnant with a child that Michael did not want. Finally despondent, Wendy signed the divorce agreement and left. Christian's words infuriated Wendy.
He simply wanted her to wear the ring, so it hardly made a difference which finger she wore it on.
She just had to wear it for a while.
Wendy kept consoling herself deep down.
Wendy slipped the ring onto her ring finger on her left hand as Christian watched.
"Happy now?"
Christian nodded with a smile on his face.
"Now give it back to me." Wendy extended her hand once more.
Christian lowered his head and checked his pocket. After a while, he looked at her and said, "I think I placed it in the luggage that was
checked in."
"What the!" Wendy was so furious that she cursed.
She removed the ring and wanted to throw it at Christian once more.
Christian promptly said, "You had better take good care of my ring. You have to use it to exchange for yours."
Wendy breathed heavily, trying to pacify her anger.
