Rumors

A few days have gone by since Damien's beating. He starts recovering and going to class every day, but every so often, he would hear whispers throughout the halls. "Damien did what..." Damien did that, no way..." "I can't believe he would..."

Jessica spot Damien wandering the halls, and approached him. "Damien, did you hear? There's some sort of rumor going around about you." Damien nods, "Yeah, I've been hearing about it but it's no big deal. They aren't true. Thanks though!" Damien gives Jessica a head pat and heads back to class.

Damien ignores the voices and just continues his day.

One particular day, Ariel hears one of the students talking about Damien, "Can you believe Damien actually forces himself on women? What a scumbag." Ariel steps up to the guy "What the fuck you talking about?!" Ariel in the guy's face with her finger pressed against his chest. "What! Why are you talking about Damien like that, huh?!" The guy takes a step back away from Ariel, "Look, lady, I just heard this shit from Tyler." Ariel smacks him "Tyler?! Of all people!"

She storms off and searches for Tyler.

Ariel finds Tyler sitting with a bunch of his crew, "Hey, fuckface! What are you doing spreading rumors about Damien?!" Ariel comes speed walking up to Tyler.

"What?" Tyler says with a smirk on his face, "They aren't rumors, he even admitted it, that's probably why he got his ass beat a few days ago." Tyler laughs. "Bullshit." Ariel says as she stands in front of Tyler. "He'd never do anything like that, and how you know about what happened? Did you do that to him?!" Ariel looking upset as she slams her finger into Tyler's chest. "Bitch, if you don't keep your hands to yourself, we are going to have a fucking problem. And maybe I did, maybe I didn't. All I know is that little bitch had it coming."

Ariel takes a swing at Tyler, "You ass hole!" Tyler docks out the way and slams Ariel onto the ground with a loud thud as her head bounces off the pavement, knocking her completely unconscious. "That's what you get for playing with fire."

Tyler and his boys take Ariel away. "Wait, wait, wait, You, there. I got an idea; I want you to go find Damien and tell him what happened and to tell him to come alone to this address. This'll be fun." He sends one of his members to go find Damien.

One of the members finds Damien eating lunch and sits in front of him, "Hey, you may have a problem that'll need to be resolved pretty soon."

Damien looks up at him as he puts his food down, "What do you mean?"

The guy chuckles slightly, "Well, one of your girls came talking to Tyler. I'm pretty sure you know how that went."

Damien grabs the guy by the back of the head and slams him into the table. "Chose your next words carefully, or I'll fucking snap it." Damien eyes glow with a blue hue. The guy flailing on the table trying to get up. "What happened?"

The guy tells Damien the whole story and gives him the address, "He told me to tell you to go here and alone. That's all I swear!" Damien lets him go and starts sprinting out. "I gotta find her. Damn it, Ariel!"

Shortly after Damien leaves the cafeteria, Tyler locks Ariel up in a dark, cold, and wet place. She regains consciousness but she's tied up and gagged. "I told you, you dumb bitch... I fucking told you, now you'll pay the price. Get her boys." Tyler leaves as a few men approach Ariel.

Damien burst through the doors, "WHERE IS SHE?! TYLER!!!" Damien screams from the top of his lungs.

Damien can hear a clap sound in the distance and appearing is Tyler and a few of his members. "Glad you can join us, Damien."

"Where is she, Tyler! I won't ask again!" Damien clenching his fist.

"Who, Ariel? Oh, she's somewhere safe, having some fun with the boys." Tyler says as he laughs.

"Wha-" Damien head drops, "YOU SON OF A BITCH!" Damien's eyes furiously glow with a deep blue color, hazy aura around him starts to shimmer as he charges at Tyler.

"Fire." Tyler says as a few dozen flare bolts fall at Damien hitting him square on. This continues for a few seconds as all that can be heard is Damien screaming in agony.

"That's what you get! Don't challenge me or else!" Tyler says as he menacingly laughs at Damien's screams.

"I-I-I wo-won't let y-you get a-away w-w-with this!" Damien tries moving but the constant barrage against his body is too much and he collapses onto the ground. Once on the ground Tyler, "that's enough! We don't want to kill him, yet."

Tyler approaches Damien, "See, you should have been just a good little puppy and-" Tyler kicks Damien "Stayed!" Kicks him again "In!" And again "Line!"

Damien struggles but grabs hold of Tyler's foot, "Th-this ain't o-over yet." Damien roars as loud as he ever roared before and boom. Damien magic explodes sending out such a massive shockwave that the building collapses. Tyler body gets shredded as Damien's explosive magic rips through his body. The gang members get crushed by debris. Lying in the middle of the rubble is Damien covered in blood.

Damien wakes in the hospital, "Wh-what happened." The room is dark, it seems to be night. Damien alone in the room, he can't move his arms or legs. Groans in pain.

A few seconds later a nurse walks in and sees Damien awake, she rushes over to him, "Oh my god! You're awake. One second let me get a doctor!" The nurse rushes out of the room.

A couple of minutes later she arrives with a doctor. "My goodness, it's a miracle. We thought you'd be comatose for much longer." The doctor says under his breath as he approaches Damien's bedside. "Now let me have a look."

The doctor examines Damien, he makes sure his eyes dilate, he asks him a couple questions, "Now, these are just procedure questions, but they must be asked, so, do you remember your name?" Damien nods, "Yes, it's Damien." The doctors' smiles "Good, now do you remember what had happened?" Damien shakes his head, "Not really." Doctor nods, "It'll come back within time, do you have any pain or discomfort?" Damien nods, "I can't really move anything and everything somewhat hurts." The questions go on and on like this and Damien does his best to answer.

"Well, thanks for that, the nurse will take care of you now." The doctor gives Damien a smile as he leaves the room.

"Now lets get you something to drink." The nurse brings a bottle to Damien, he takes a sip of it. "Thanks, by the way, how long have I been out for?" The nurse looks away for a second, but gives Damien a reassuring smile, "A little over 2 weeks." Damien was shocked by the news but nonetheless has accepted it.

Damien falls asleep for the night as the nurses watch over him.
