First Day of Dragons Duel Pt. 1

The crowd could be heard screaming and hollering. As Damien steps up, the stage is enormous, white tiles stretch for about 50 meters, at the other end of the stage, Damien's opponent steps up, Yullar! A man with red hair and a goatee. He's skinny but tall, standing a few inches above Damien. 

A man runs into the middle of the stage. "Hello everyone! Welcome to the first match of the Dragons Duel! I am the announcer! Now I will discuss a few rules before we start this match! So, remember, if your opponent quits, gets knocked out of the ring, or goes unconscious you may advance to the next round! If you kill your opponent then its straight disqualification! There will be two rounds each day besides the finals will be the only match being held on that particular day! And we have a special place when the finals are being held, so stay tune!" 

The stage is surrounded by a stadium filled with thousands of people that are hooting and hollering. There's a slight overcast as the clouds periodically cover the sun and their shadows encompass the entire stadium. 

The announcer shouts out, "The first match of the Dragons Duel is Damien from Genesis Academy versus Yullar from BattleMage Academy!"

Damien steadily approaches the center of the stadium. 

His opponent, Yullar, and Damien meet in the center. 

"Hi." Damien says as he lifts his hand to shake hands with Yullar.

Yullar gives Damien a scornful look and slaps his hand away. 

"I don't shake with weaklings!" Yullar jumps back and gets in a fighting stance.

"Tsk." Damien shakes his head, "Alright then, let's see if your bite is as good as your bark." Damien releases his magic. His eyes start radiating a blue hue and small bits of lightning start shooting from his body. 

The announcer shouts out, "BEGIN!"

Yullar releases his own magic, a black hue covers his body as he let out a roars. 

Yullar charges at Damien, Damien anticipates his movement and swiftly dodges to his left. Sending a small lightning strike at Yullar body, hitting him in the gut which makes Yullar fall on the ground grasping tightly to his stomach.

"Y-you bastard!" Yullar snarls. He jumps to his feet and charges up a small black orb around his hands. He throws one of the orbs at Damien. 

The orb moves at a pace Damien wasn't ready for and it hits Damien square in the chest. Once it hit though it felt like Damien got smacked by Sebastian again. The explosion sent Damien flying across the stage, almost knocking him off. 

"Oof. *hah* *hah* T-that hurt..." Damien gets to his feet and Yullar sends the last orb at Damien, luckily Damien is much further away and ducks down as the orb passes overhead slamming into the protective field surrounding the inside of the stadium.

Damien looks back. "Whew! Thank god that's there." Damien whips his head back, "no wonder you were picked by your academy." Damien smirks as he lunges forward charging at Yullar, "but you ain't my match!" 

Damien summons his gravity pull magic on Yullar's body forcing him to fall. Now that Yullar's laying down, Damien jumps in the air with a fist full of lightning he flings himself at Yullar. Crashing into the ground punching Yullar directly in the back causing the ground underneath them to erupt in a massive dust storm. 

All the crowd can hear is a very sharp piercing scream that sounds like its coming from Yullar, and then the rubble falling. 

A few seconds pass and Damien walks out of the small crater he created, dragging Yullar by his feet behind him. 

"I think he's done." Damien says as he throws Yullar outside the ring. 

The crowd erupts in praise! "DAMIEN! DAMIEN! DAMIEN!" 

Damien steps down the ring and exits.

The next few matches go by. 

The next match begins and the announcer shouts out, "Veronica from Genesis Academy is facing off against Suzanne from Celestial Academy."

As Veronica meets her opponent in the center of the ring, as she gets a good look she sees that Suzanne is a beautiful woman. Long black hair that reaches down to her lower back. Green eyes with a fair complexion. She has a massive bust and appears to have a well trained body.

Veronica bows and says, "Hi, hope to have a fair and fun fight against you." Veronica starts releasing her magic as she slowly backs away.

Suzanne bows back, "I too wish for a good match." 

The announcer shouts out, "BEGIN!"

Suzanne releases her magic, her body gets covered in blue and red flames. The fire is dancing around her body as she gestures to Veronica to come to her.

Veronica smirks. "With pleasure!" Veronica releases her magic and lightning starts dancing around her body as she lunges forward at Suzanne sending a bolt of lightning ahead of her. 

Suzanne swiftly moves around the lightning bolt and punches Veronica in the stomach, when her fist touches Veronica an explosion happens, which sends Veronica flying back, she skids across the stage for a few meters before coming to a slow halt.

*Cough* *Cough* *Cough* "Ahh!" Veronica screams in pain as she wraps her hands around her stomach. 

Suzanne takes this chance and charges Veronica. 

When Suzanne gets just a couple meters away from Veronica, Veronica sends another lightning bolt at Suzanne hitting her in the chest which stops Suzanne's advance. 

Suzanne starts twitching as the electricity course through her body. Veronica takes this chance and summons a black orb and jams in right into Suzanne's stomach. 

You hear the crunch and tear of Suzanne's body as she gets repelled to the walls of the stadium, falling to the ground, knocked out of the ring and knocked out. 

The crowd goes wild cheering for Veronica, "VERONICA! VERONICA! VERONICA!"

A few matches go by and then Randell's turn to step up to the stage!

The announcer shouts out, "The next match is Randell from Genesis Academy versus Vladimir of the Battle Mage Academy.

Randell steps up and notices his opponent is a man much larger then himself, as the too meet in the middle Randell realizes that the man is casting a shadow over him. The man is shirtless and muscular isn't good enough word to describe him. He is covered in scars and looks like he eats metal for his meals. His hair a dark brown with heterochromia, one eye is blue while the other is red. 

"Woah. You're huge!" Randell shouts as he lifts his hand up for a handshake.

Vladimir places his hand on Randell's but his hand is massive, Randell can't wrap his fingers around its like when you hold a toddlers hand, and they just use your finger. 

"Puny man. I hope your ready." Vladimir says in a strong Russian accent. 

They each take a few steps back and the announcer says, "BEGIN!"

Vladimir charges at Randell. 

Grabbing Randell by the head and pushing him down. Vladimir starts punching Randell in the gut, the impacts sound like someone smacking a sack of rice with a paddle. 

Randell screams out in agony as Vladimir starts squeezing his hand as he continues to pummel on Randell's stomach. 

"Weak." Vladimir says as he charges up a firebolt and starts sending barrages at Randell's torso.

The close impacts shred Randell top apart and causing tears in his skin.

"You are nothing." Vladimir states as he picks up a bloody mess that was once Randell. 

Holding him by his head Vladimir tosses Randell outside the ring.

The crowd cheers up, "VLADIMIR, VLADIMIR, VLADIMIR!" 

Medical team comes rushing out and carries Randell away to the medical room. 

  As Damien wonders the halls searching for a water fountain he hears whispers about what had happened to Randell, and he rushes off to the medical center.

Damien walks into the medical center seeing Randell sitting up on his bed cover in wounds and bandages.

"Hey man, what happened out there?" Damien says with concern. 

"Well, I met a monster..." Randell recalls what Vladimir did to him, "that man isn't human, he makes Sebastian look small." Randell trembles. 

"Easy man, sorry." Damien says, "so, your opponent did this..." Damien turns away with a rageful look in his eyes as he storms out of the medical center. 

"Vladimir, and Sebastian! your mine!" Damien says as he walks back to the halls to continue searching for some water. 

  A few matches go by and the final match of the first round comes up! 

The announcer shouts out the next match, "Sebastian from Genesis Academy versus Forrest of Earthbinding Academy!"

Sebastian slowly approaches the stage as he climbs up he spots a timid looking fellow, he looks nervous as Sebastian stares him down. The man has black hair and hazel colored eyes. He looks malnourished. He is very skinny, and extremely pale. 

"This is my opponent?!" Sebastian looks around. "Tsk. Quit while you still can, save yourself a hospital visit." 

The small provocation triggers Forrest. 

And the Announcer shouts, "BEGIN!"

Forrest's body starts radiating a green hue and the ground starts shaking.

"Oh hoh! You have some bite after all." Sebastian smiles, "but sadly, you ain't enough."

Sebastian lets out a shout that sends a massive shock wave, ripping up the stage as it travels toward Forrest, he just looks dumbfounded by the shear power coming toward him he stands still.

Forrest's gets hit by the blast and his body starts turning and twisting in ways that shouldn't be possible everyone in the crowd gasps as Forrest becomes a ragdoll and slams against the barrier. Falling to the ground unconscious.

"You're lucky I had to pull my punch there, otherwise you'd have died." Sebastian says as he exits the stage. 

The crowd is silent as the medical team retrieves Forrest and carries him away. 

Sebastian and Damien cross paths. 

Damien stares Sebastian down as Sebastian ignores him.

"I'm going to win." Damien announces. "I'm going to beat you." 

Sebastian chuckles, "You need 10 more years of training to even touch the realm I'm at." 

Sebastian leaves after that and Damien continues his search.
