Chapter 63 : Going in to help

'I am very surprised.'

Although it might not show in my face, I was very surprised inside to meet Noah in broad daylight, in the middle of the street. Much less saving him from being thrown to the ground.

I remembered Charlie told me before that Noah was a shut-in, and he holed himself all day in his room.

That was why, when I was busy re-stocking the shelves in my workplace and coincidentally glimpsed on his back, I doubted my eyes at first. It started when Nina made a big fuss about a couple breaking up in the cafe across the street.

"Oh, my god! Eirlys, you wouldn't believe what I just saw!" she exclaimed excitedly as she took off her gloves. "Big news! I just saw a couple were broke up and created a big ruckus outside!"

I hummed in disinterest. I preoccupied my thought about whether I should arrange the shelves, so the more popular snack lined up on the top part or not.
