Unattainable Love

38.

I didn't know if Logan was really sick or not, but when I got home that day, he was already lying on the sofa, looking listless as he flipped through the documents.

Logan's gaze swept over me quickly. I didn't want to talk to him either and went straight upstairs.

"Stop."

Logan said in a low voice.

I didn't stop. Instead, I went upstairs, opened the door, got in and closed the door.

"If you keep acting like this, when will I have a grandchild?"

At about nine o'clock in the evening, Laura's voice was so sharp that I could hear it through the door. The door was opened before I could get up.

Laura looked grim as she shouted at Logan, "Get in there."

Logan followed her order.

Then Laura turned to look at me, "I don't ask much of you. Either a grandson or a granddaughter will be a great source of happiness for me, but I do want a grandchild."

I didn't know what to say.

Then I met with Logan's eyes.

With a pale face, he glanced at me and reluctantly entered the bedroom.
