What a strong Child !!!

Alan brought them hot soup and handed a bowl to each of them. Both thanked and started drinking it.

"Its delicious!!" John exclaimed with a look of bliss and asked Helen if she had prepared it.

"If Alan is at home I simply don't do any household chores. He will be doing everything from cooking to cleaning, from fetching water to taking care of me. In his care aince a couple of years, I am feeling that I had recovered a bit from my old injuries and my joints doesn't feel as fragile as before." Helen said proudly.

John was unable to digest it. Children his age alway played around and try to avoid any tasks, but this boy does everything!!? He even cook's!!. The soup is so delicious. At that moment he heard someone calling him from outside.

John got up and started towards the hut's entrance. As soon as he went out, he saw a huge boulder in front of him. Or so he initially thought. He was about to ask his men about it, when he saw a huge head of a wild boar attached to this boulder. He was speachless for a moment.

He then walked around the big mound and came to the other side. Shock etched in his eyes. It was a fully grown wild boar. He had came across these huge of a boar only a couple of times in his life.

He was examining the boar when Alan came outside with a large pot of Soup.

"Uncle John I brought soup for everyone but we lack cups to serve this many." He felt embarrassed saying it.

John snapped out of his thoughts. "No problem little one, we have enough of those with us." Then he called one of his men and asked him to get the cups for the soup.

Alan served the soup to everyone. It was so tasty that the whole pot of soup got cleaned up within a few minutes. People even started arguing to get their hands on that last bowl of soup.

Alan felt happy that everyone liked his soup. John watched all of this and had a small smile on his face as everyone started praising Alan's culinary skills. But, Alan felt embarrassed to here the praise from everyone.

John called Alan near to the Boar's body. Out of curiosity all of the men who had traveled with John also went along with Alan and stood near them.

"Alan did you really killed it?" John asked in disbelief.

Alan noded his head, but was puzzled to here the same question repeatedly and even with the hint of a doubt.

"Can you tel me how you did it? I am not able to see any physical injuries caused by a weapon. I can only see some damages on its face and neck area."

Alan scratch his head embarrassedly . "I took it out with my firsts Uncle John".

Everyone was at a loss for words. They were staring at him in shock. Alan started to feel really awkward. He wanted to slip out of there and hide inside the hut. But at that moment he heard his grandmother's voice coming from the other side.

"It is really huge. No wonder you got hurt." Alan saw Helen coming towards him shaking her head.

John was puzzled to here this. He looked at Helen and asked ," You mean he had already killed a wild boar before?"

She looked around contemplating whether to tell the truth infront of everyone or not. Seeing her look, John said. " You can tell infront of them. They are with me from a long time and even had shed their blood for my family."

Helen took a deep breath and looked at John. "I am just worried that people might take advantage of Alan, he is still a kid. Even though he is very matured and knows how to take care of himself he still lacks life experience and yet to come into" contact with outer world.

She then looked around in the direction of each and everyone and said in a pleading tone. "Don't spread this news outside as it might harm Alan." Everyone noded solemnly.

She took a deep breath.

" Alan can kill any kind and any type of wild beasts. Even without the weapons. He is very strong. I had seen him kill a fully grown red eyed tiger with a single punch."

No one spoke. There was such a profound silent that one could have heard a drop of a needle.

Slowly.... very slowly one by one came back to their senses and started to calm down. Many of them sat down with a thud. Many looked towards John and then at Alan.

John smiled awkwardly and said. "Well Alan, it seem you will be a great Adventurer one day. Just like Me....."

Helen playfully swatted at Johns arm.

"Ouch John rubbed his arm and said sighing, haaaa.... fine... you will be a better Adventurer than your grandfather." Are you happy now he looked at Helen with mock anger.

Alan burst out laughing.... suddenly the atmosphere became somewhat lively after that.

"What a strong child!!" John thought to himself.
