A bell rang indicating the end of the days classes. Yuri dismissed everyone but no one made a move to leave the class.
Stan didn't mind this and spoke with Yuri as if he didn't care, " We need some high grade medicine and healing portions. A huge quantity of it actually."
"What!? Why headmaster?" Yuri asked in puzzlement.
He whispered something in Yuri's ear and she gasped in shock. "Are..... are you serious headmaster?" She looked ar Stan and then towards the boy's with a pitifully gaze.
Boys who were already used to this type of reactions from others, were not bothered.
Yuri then took Stan and the boys to the store inside her office. It was an exclusive collection of herbs, medicine and portions for academy masters and for emergency situations.
Yuri began to remove tens of bottols and handed-over to the boys. "Keep it safe lads, these will come in handy during your training." Yuri said.
Alan thanked her and started storing bottols and packets inside his storage ring.
Yuri who was hanging out a box stood like a statue looking at Alan. She stood like that for a few seconds before turning towards Stan a look of shock apparent on her face.
"Ah, I forgot about it. Both Alan and Williams here can use the storage ring." Stan informed matter of factly.
"Already?" Yuri asked in awe. Then sighed. "No wonder Harry scooped all of you." She shook her head in a defeated expression.
"Lads, come back to the healing sections once you finish your training with Master Harry." Yuri smiled and informed the boys before they leave.
They all noded amd bowed their head respectfully and left with headmaster.
Have your dinner and rest for now. Tomorrow you can watch the selection of first year students. Test will commence early after the breakfast. We will all meet agian once Harry arrives. Stan bade them goodbye and went to his office
The boys went towards the stable and after taking care of their horses they started towards the dinning hall talking and laughing.
Entering the dining hall, Matron Rose, overseeing the arrangements, greeted them warmly, hugging each with a beaming smile. "Ah, lads, how are you all? Come, get the plates," she waved, distributing plates to everyone. While handing plates to Ben and Bob, she added, "Don't lose hope, lads. Life must go on with or without the ones we love." They nodded solemnly, piling up their plates and casually discussing as they ate.
Rose then presented them with sweets, expressing pride in their contribution to the academy. The boys felt a bit embarrassed, realizing the headmaster had shared their actions. "I thought it will be kept a secret but the headmaster revealed it to everyone." Dave face-palmed, and Rose smiled at his words, "So thoughtful. These boys will surely become someone great. I hope to be around to see that day." She thought to herself.
Fortunately, they were late for dinner, and academy classes hadn't started, avoiding public embarrassment. After dinner, they went through their belongings for the journey once they returned to their dormitory. Once they were satisfied with the preparations, they went to sleep.
The next morning, they woke early for routine training, followed by breakfast.
Later, they attended the new students' entrance test, where the headmaster announced, acceptance of additional 25 students for this academic year, bringing relief and joy to many. The comprehensive day-long test included theoretical and practical assessments.
Watching the test, Alan and Williams felt a bit embarrassed, and realized why they were exempted. Reflecting on it, Chris remarked, "Did we take this test? It seems so easy and childish now." The list of 150 regular students and 100 sponsored students, double the usual number, was announced. These sponsored students were children of late adventurers or those facing financial constraints.
Touched, the boys and their families expressed gratitude to the headmaster, only to learn that it was not Stan but others who made this possible. Stan promised to reveal the benefactors' identity on the first day of the term, asking them to return home for now. Grinning mischievously, he added, "I'll ensure you aren't mobbed by these grateful folks for now lads. Once you start your journey, I'll unveil the truth, letting you enjoy the fruits of your efforts upon your return."
