Friends and Enemies

Liu Yanjiang was pleasantly surprised usually everyone was scared of her or her clan, no one ever talked to her so friendly before, even her clan members didn't talk to her much, she was the daughter of the patriarch afterall. So this was a slightly new experience.

Liu Yanjiang: "Yea! Nice to meet you Tai Bàoli!"

Liu Yanjiang gave a big smile too, it was at this point Tai Bàoli saw it, she really must be a girl. She stood 5'1 with black hair in a tight bun and bright golden eyes, however she wore heavy padded clothing and had a short sword attached to her hip, if you didn't stare at her for a second and talk to her you wouldn't be able to tell she was a girl, that's crazy.

Tai Bàoli: "Hey what technique or techniques did you choose? I'll show you mine first if you want"

Tai Bàoli just wanted to make a new friend and everyone would eventually know their techniques anyways might as well share to get to know each other.

Liu Yanjiang was excited this was the first time someone was so happy to talk to her other than her mother and cousin Liu Liang, she excitedly showed Tai Bàoli the technique she'd gotten from the library.

Tai Bàoli: ("Wtf!?!?! this was just a high mortal grade technique why was its name so domineering. And what's with the comprehension requirement holy shit.") Tai Bàoli put away his surprised look, after all according to regular logic all he was able to see was its name and tier, he'd then hold out his two techniques.

Tai Bàoli: "Mine are only low mortal grade, but they're pretty good for low mortal grade. Your technique sounds super cool can't wait to see you use it!"

Tai Bàoli said with genuine excitement, and of course Liu Yanjiang would smile

Liu Yanjiang: "Thanks! your's seem cool, I don't really like martial arts though I only really do it because my dad forces me too. Even this technique is one he told me I had to start learning as my first technique from the sect."

Tai Bàoli: "What? he's forcing you to cultivate a technique? that's fucked up. Why do you even have to listen? is he some crazy strong martial artist or something?"

Liu Yanjiang looked confused, Tai Bàoli didn't know about her clan? or her Dad? no wonder he was so nice to her.

Liu Yanjiang: "Something like that, but it's alright I don't like to make him mad plus it's an easy to learn techniques anyways I already memorized the technique just gotta start practicing it."

Tai Bàoli: "...you....you memorized it already? you must be super smart, well I'll be glad to see you get stronger maybe you'll be able to break free from your dad's control"

Liu Yanjiang smiled, she might be able to get stronger then her dad but that was a long ways away, if Tai Bàoli only knew.

SWOOSH! BAM!

Something smacked into the back of Tai Bàoli's head. knocking him over onto the ground, Where he'd begin bleeding profusely unconscious.

Jiang Giang: "Hmph Who do you think you are talking to? This is Miss Yanjiang, commoner trash."

Jiang Giang had used his clans Giant Eagle claw martial art to attack Tai Bàoli, it seemed they had stopped arguing with the other two clans people and he had saw Tai Bàoli talking to Liu Yanjiang. And Liu Yanjiang was actually talking back like they were having a nice conversation. Wtf he tried to curry favor with miss Yanjiang all the time just like his dad told him to but she never gave him the time of day. This infuriated him, so he lost his temper and attacked Tai Bàoli, afterall he was only 13 and didn't have much self control.

However unsurprisingly he was quickly apprehended by an elder from the Law Enforcer Pavilion

Elder: "Jiang Giang, you are deducted 300 martial credits for the assault of fellow disciple Tai Bàoli as that is the cost of the pill required to heal him."

The elder then held a special badge up to the identification badge of Jiang Giang and took away 300 martial credits from Jiang Giang, which was surprising as he had just become a disciple so it was weird he already had martial credits, many of the passerbys attributed it to his clan background.

Then another elder grabbed Tai Bàoli and brought him back to his room and fed him a pill then disappeared leaving a piece of paper going over what had occurred.

Eventually Tai Bàoli would wake up with a huge pain in the back of his head, but at least he wasn't dead. he'd see his surroundings and the piece of paper and be slightly confused.

Tai Bàoli: "why would Jiang Giang even attack me? and how did he have martial credits already?"

No matter what Tai Bàoli was still upset at the fact he'd randomly been attacked. He'd need to train hard to get payback at some point, but he also wished he could have kept conversing with Liu Yanjiang. Whatever for now he needed to train.

-Esoteric Ghost Step: Mastery ~low~

-Upgrading a stat requires experience, gain experience in a myriad of ways-

-------------------

Tai Bàoli seemed astonished....he could upgrade his mastery of a technique utilizing his system..... so long as he gained enough experience he could be unstoppable. he knew just from the knowledge he's gained since being at the sect that all techniques came with 4 different grades of Mastery, low, mid, high, and peak. so all together it would cost 15 points for Tai Bàoli to enhance Esoteric Ghost Steps to Peak.

And Tai Bàoli also knew if he did he'd be unstoppable in the lower realms. Almost no one in the body refining realm ever got a technique to peak mastery at least not until they were almost out of the body refining realm themselves. This gave Tai Bàoli quite a bit to think about.

But for now Tai Bàoli wanted to begin training his next technique, as he didn't want to get clobbered in the back of the head and one shot again. so he begin doing the manual exercises and breathing methods associated with the bears hide technique, which ended up taking another 10 hours before he saw it pop up on his screen it was also at this point that he'd just pass out onto his bed. It was insane for a body Refining realm stage 2 martial artist to stay up 20 consecutive hours training, especially without any pills to revitalize themselves.

Unfortunately the sleep of Tai Bàoli was interrupted quite fast, as an elder woke all the new outer disciples up with a clap that seemingly broke the sound barrier, startling everyone awake. Tai Bàoli had only been able to get about 4 hours of sleep in, so he was exhausted.
