Isn't This... Too OP? (2)

'Hmm, how should I distribute my points' Clay clicked his tongue.

Then he remembered that he was too slow in catching the thief. So, naturally, Clay chose to distribute it evenly between strength, dexterity, and agility in order to get increased speed.

<Strength increased+2>

<Dexterity increased+2>

<Agility increased+2>

Once again a refreshing sensation spread throughout his body, Clay relished the cooling feeling before it suddenly left as fast as it came, leaving Clay wanting for more.

|Remarks: Above average human specimen for their respective age and level|

Clay nodded at his new stats, he noticed an addition to the remark at the end.

'So I'm now above average for my own level as well huh' Clay felt proud that he is better than the average populace of his age, maybe a result of too many feelings of inferiority.

'Anyway, now that I have all the materials, I should get the quest notification right about, now' Clay tried predicting the quest prompt.

An awkward silence bloomed in Clay's mind.

'Right about, now' Clay tried predicting again.

But to no avail.

Clay felt embarrassed, but then it shortly disappeared.

'Thank goodness no one knows what I was thinking' Clay was relieved no one could read minds, at least not in his area.

*Ding!*

<Host has received a quest, open quest?>

'Finally, sure took your time huh, open quest'

<Accept Quest?>

[Yes/No]

Clay's earlier happiness disappeared, replaced with crippling anxiety that could even distort the air around him as he looked at the quest penalty.

'It's gonna be ok, It's gonna be ok' Clay repeated to himself as he attempted to click on yes with a shaky hand.

<Accepted quest>

<Host can now view this quest in the [Quests] section>

'It's finished, I did it, I can't change it now' Clay resigned to his fate as he looked on over at the items on his desk.

With a sigh, Clay walked over to his desk, looked at the items solemnly, and wished for luck.

The map he wanted to make is that of the kingdom his village is a part of.

While imagining the image of the kingdom, remembering bits of memory from visiting Jim's Maps, Clay thought of generating the map as he placed his hands over the items.

'Create map' Clay thought with a heavy heart.

<Detected map creation prompt>

<Checking materials...>

<Success>

<Combining materials...>

<Success>

<Creating map...>

Seconds felt like years to Clay, while he was waiting for the result of the creation of the map.

<Success>

"YES!" Clay screamed.

Suddenly his door barged open.

"Clay what happened?!" His mother asked worriedly.

"Huh?" Clay was puzzled.

"You shouted loudly so I was worried something had happened" Mrs. Mapa said.

"Oh, uh I was just messing around with my system"

'Messing around my ass, my life flashed before my eyes' Clay thought.

"Oh, that's good, well, don't mind me, continue on with your business" Clay's Mom left after glancing at the map on the desk, closing the door softly before retreating footsteps sounded through the door.

Clay turned his attention back to the map on his desk, curious as to what its functions may be now that it was tier 2.

'System, show me info about this map'

|Unnamed Map (Tier 2)|

\A tier 2 map created by Clay Mapa, an amateur mapper, this map can show a first-person view of the Kingdom of Adurep and can teleport to any area shown in the map./

*Ding!*

<Completed achievement |First Tier 2 Map|>

<Detected completion of quest |Beginnings(4)|!>

<Claim reward now?>

[Yes/No]

Clay glanced at the system prompt before taking a look at the description.

He rubbed his eyes, looking twice at the description in disbelief, seeing that it hadn't changed, Clay then began to doubt himself, thinking he had a vision problem.

'There's no way I can just teleport anywhere on this map, have I finally gone crazy from the heat?' Clay thought with narrowed eyes.

'Well, there is really only one way to test it'

Clay focused on the village where he lived on the map, then prompted to use it.

*Beep*

A screen showcasing his village appeared, this time on the top right, Clay could see a button that has an image of a round person with an arrow pointing to the right to another round person.

Clay moved around in the screen until what his vision saw was Josh's home, grabbing the map firmly in his hands and bringing it closer to his chest, Clay clicked on the button on the top-right.

Feeling weird, Clay looked down on his body, then froze.

Seeing that he was disappearing into visible ball-like light particles passing through his ceiling and gathering in the sky, Clay was horrified.

Then his vision went black.

About 3 seconds later light particles fell from the sky and gathered in front of Josh's house, forming a shocked Clay with his mouth open and his eyes widened.

'What the f-'

Clay's thought process was interrupted by a voice behind him.

"Clay?"

Hearing a familiar voice behind him, Clay turned around to look at the owner of the voice.

"Josh?" Clay's mind was still befuddled from the teleporting experience.

"How did you get here?" Josh questioned with his brows raised.

"You suddenly appeared in thin air, how did you do that?" Josh was puzzled.

Snapping out of his stupor, Clay looked at his hand, relieved to see that the map he was holding was still there.

"I'll explain later, can I go to your house first, I would really like to take a breather" Clay requested.

"Yeah, sure, I definitely want to know more about what you did and how you did it" Josh gestures as he walked passed Clay and opened the door to his home.

Clay followed soon after.

The duo went to Josh's room and Clay sat on the chair while Josh sat on his bed in a serious posture.

"My Mom's not here, she's out buying groceries, so don't worry about any eavesdroppers" Josh reassured Clay, thinking he wasn't talking because he didn't want any info leaking.

"Yeah, that's good" Clay responded.

"So... Mind telling me about what happened there?" Josh tilted his head.

"I teleported" Clay was silent for a while before he replied.

"What" Josh couldn't understand what Clay meant.

"I teleported here with my map" Clay continued.

"Huh?" Josh was stupefied.

"How can a map teleport" Josh laughed nervously.

"I did, you can try if you want" Clay reached out his map towards Josh.

"So you're telling me that you can teleport?" Josh rubbed his temples.

Clay nodded.

Josh took the map and began using it.

Soon he slowly dissipated into light particles.

Josh's eyes widened as he slowly turned into nothingness.

Clay looked around moments later as he saw something bright appear at the corner of his eye.

It was light particles that were gathering in one spot before forming a dumbfounded Josh.
