Chapter 63

[Location: New York] [3rd POV]

It was a bit later, and the trio had officially made it to the apartment building that Magnus's apartment, where the party was also situated.

Walking in between Isabelle and Hope, Talia had a smile on her face. The trio had been talking the entire time, as they made there way to the party. With Isabelle learning more about Talia and Hope, primarily that Talia was incredibly strong in magic, even moreso than she was expecting. And that Hope was…seemingly quite okay with the idea of Talia getting with her, and even Clary. Why? Isabelle didn't know, but she wanted to find out.

Walking through the hallways, Talia blinked at the sight of Clary standing alone, a beautiful yet simple dress on.

"Clary? What are you doing alone? I thought Simon would come with you?" Isabelle asked, as she walked up to Clary. While she was still not the happiest about Clary keeping secrets, she had begun to get over it.

"He um…he's coming alone. He uh, sorta asked me out, as in, asked me to be his girlfriend" Clary said with a sigh. "I shut him down, so now he's…moody" Clary continued, while Isabelle blinked in surprise.

"Really? I thought you'd get with him, he seems like your type" Isabelle said, while Talia's face twitched slightly at this, with Hope holding her hand softly.

"I see him as a brother more than anything, Izzy. It'd be weird for me to get with him. Plus…I don't think love is really my thing, I'm more of a lone wolf kinda gall" Clary said with a smile, an obviously fake one.

"Well, miss lone wolf, wanna come with us?" Talia asked, walking forward. "Come with you?" "Yeah, as a sort of…group thing" Isabelle added with a small smile, having seen through Clary's evident lies.

Clary glanced at Hope who just smiled softly, causing her to go silent for a few moments, before speaking "Okay, but just as friends" Clary said, causing Talia to grin.

"Well then ladies, shall we get into the party?" Talia asked with a smile, offering her left hand to Isabelle, who blushed slightly and took it. Before she turned to Clary "You look gorgeous by the way. If I had another hand, I'd offer you it" Talia said with a smile, while Clary cracked a small one in return.

"Now, let's get in there" Talia said, as they walked to the door, and slowly opened it. The sounds of spanish esque music entering their ears, as the party itself seemed to have a spanish theme.

"So Magnus likes spain?" Talia asked as they walked in, ignoring the glances she was receiving by the few shadowhunters that knew of who she was.

"You guys want to go and get drinks?" Talia asked, turning to the others. While inwardly she blocked the mental interference that a certain warlock was trying to apply to her and the girls.

"No thanks, I don't really think it's a good idea to drink at a party like this one" Clary said with a shake of her head, not really wanting to drink. Isabelle nodded at this, agreeing. Talia turned to Hope seeing their denial, with the girl shaking her head.

"No drinking it is then" Talia said with a chuckle, before a brown haired man walked up to them, a smile on his face.

"Clary I'm glad you could make it! And Isabelle, you look gorgeous, Max is with your mother over in corner" The man said, before stopping and turning to Talia. His eyes widened slightly as he felt the tiniest sliver of Talia's magic, that was leaking out.

"It's rude to stare you know" Talia said with a grin, knowing the warlock had seen her magical power. "You must be Talia Morningstar, the warlock right?"

"And you must be Magnus Bane. It's a pleasure to meet you" Talia said with a smile, shaking the mans hand. He was also her favorite character in the show, by a huge margin.

"It's a pleasure. And you are Hope, the werewolf significant other, right?" Magnus asked, causing Hope to smile and nod, shaking his hand as well.

"Well, there is drinks over in the corner if you need anything, non alcoholic included" Magnus said with a smile, while Talia hummed. "Quite the wards you have around here"

Magnus blinked in surprise "You can sense them?" "I can, they are quite impressive, but could definitely use some upgrades in certain areas" Talia replied, having felt the wards around the apartment. The wards were pretty decent all things considered, but compared to the wards she knew, they were nothing. "I can help you upgrade them if you want"

"Hmm, perhaps we can work something out in the future" Magnus said, the idea of upgrading his wards further, was quite appealing.

"Definitely" Talia said, already knowing what she wanted from the man. The spells of this universe could be quite helpful in certain areas, as she knew that there was some pretty decent ones. "Enough of business, lets go find Max, I've got a gift for him" Talia said with a smile, having already made the boy a special gift.

"Ah, looks like we both have something to give him then. Let's do it together, shall we?" Magnus said, causing Talia to nod.

"Um, I'm going to go and grab something non alcoholic" Clary said. Hearing this, they smiled and nodded, as she walked off.

Walking alongside Magnus and Isabelle, Talia and Hope were eventually led to where Max, Alec, and their mother was.

"Max! You look so handsome!" Isabelle said with a smile, as she crouched and gave her little brother a hug.

"Ah. Mother, this is Hope, and Talia" Isabelle said, realizing that her mother has never actually met them before. The woman looked over the two "You're the warlock with the last name Mornginstar, correct? The one that can supposedly find Valentine?"

"I am. And isn't supposedly, I can find the man" Talia said with an almost mocking smile. "And I actually have a gift for Max, if you'd let me give it to him" Talia said with a smile, noticing the childs excitement.

She had stopped the mental intrusion threatening to manipulate the kid, as it would have done in canon, making him act pretty…racist towards Magnus. And talk to Jace in a less than nice manner.

"Go ahead" Alec said, stopping his mother from complaining. Hearing this, Talia smiled and crouched down, as she lifted her palm, causing a small magical circle to glow within it.

"Whats your favorite animal?" Talia asked Max, a smile on her face. "Uh…a lion?" The young child said, confused with the question.

Hearing this, Talia grinned "A lion it is" She said, before the magical circle glowed with power, a small lion faced necklace began to form in her hand, as she used one of her Overlord spells, specifically used for creating items.

As the glowing stopped, she smiled and offered Max the necklace, which he took. "This, is a little item I've created with magic. It will help you with your shadowhunter duties. Providing immunity to certain illusions, resistance to poisons, and even the ability to summon a lion to aid you in your time of need"

"Can I try it?" Max said, an excited glint in his eyes. Smiling, Talia nodded. "All you need to do, is wear it and wish for the lion to be summoned, and it will be"

"Um okay" Max said, beginning to slip the necklace onto his neck. Maryse was about to stop him, but Alec stopped her.

Slowly, a soft glow emanated from the golden necklace, as a small figure appeared in front of the wide eyed Max.

"It's so cute!" Isabelle said with a squeal. "It's just a baby?" Alec said in surprise, while Magnus was watching all of this in slight awe, the magic being quite impressive, and unlike anything he had ever seen.

"It's just a baby, like you. But with time, it will grow, get bigger, and get stronger. I hope you can use this to help you in the future" Talia said with a smile, as she left her crouching position.

"Thank you!" Max said happily, as he hugged the baby lion close to him, even if it was fake, it was still soft and cute.

"Now that that is done, should I take care of the warlock that has been attempting to manipulate our minds? Or no" Talia said, causing everyones eyes to widen. "What?!" "Yes!" Maryse said in shock, with Isabelle instantly nodding.

Hearing this, Talia smiled and snapped her finger, as a magical circle glowed. From it, a woman was teleported in front of them, bound in chains that blocked her magic off, courtesy of Talia.

"So…what do I do with her?"

To be honest, I wasn't entirely sure what to do for this chapter, so I decided to just get this episode done with quickly. Next chapter will potentially have some smut, or a date between Talia and Hope, idk.

Sorry about the quality for this chapter, it was just really hard to write, so I kinda had to just do the best I could on it. Next chapter should hopefully be a lot better than this one.
