Fly 17

A week, passed.

The incident at the mall remains a secret between Quitta and Tessa. There was no further talk of the incident, for they had agreed to keep it under wraps.

Farah continued to act as usual. She didn't know that Quitta and Tessa knew about her relationship with Ghaza.

Quitta and Tessa also try to act normal, although Tessa is more silent when the three of them are together. And, without telling Quitta, Tessa was now always wary of Farah.

Currently, the three of them are in the main hall with other class representatives and student council members to discuss the school anniversary event which will be held next month.

Tessa has been breathing heavily several times, Farah may not have realized that Tessa's eyes had been on her for a long time. Every Farah's move as if to annoy her.

"For the event later, what if we hold a couple of goals election again like last year?" said Farah, with her eyes fixed on the magazine she was flipping through.

Whether she was reading her magazine or not, it was clear that Farah had wasted her time doing nothing. Her face looked bored and she was always looking at her watch. Tessa was sure there was something Farah was waiting for.

"That's right! Last year's winner is Ghaza, right? And his partner is a 3rd grader last year who looks like an idol from a Korean girl band." Said one of the representatives of class 2 who was beside Quitta.

"Yes, her name is Nancy!" said the second student who sat separately with several students.

"Well yeah, I saw them that it was hard to get distracted, so harmonious and good looking! Ah, aren't they dating?" add the first student.

"No, they were together just to participate in the event. That's all. And they didn't expect to be champions." Said another.

"After winning it they dated." Reveals the third-grade representative student who has a different major than Quitta.

"Oh yeah? How does it feel to have a handsome boyfriend?!"

"The feeling is happy because we will feel proud to show it off to another."

"Ha ha ha ... That's right!"

"But mostly spontaneous relationships like that don't last long, for example, Ghaza and Nancy's relationship, which only lasted two months!" A third-year representative student who is also in the same class as Ghaza chimed in.

"It's natural, usually a relationship like that is only based on pleasure for a moment before getting to know each other's characters." Added his friend who was nodded by almost all the students who were there.

Quitta just silently listened, while the others were busy commenting on each other.

"Why are you guys talking about other people's relationships! Let's focus on the purpose of our meeting. So for tomorrow, it's clear enough, yes, each class must send a representative of ten people to help decorate the hall, front garden, and entrance which will be coordinated by the designated student council members. Ok, any questions?" said Takka, the head of the student council who had been busy preparing further proposals to be addressed to the principal. His focus was split due to the commotion that filled the hall.

"Yes, I am! What about the couple goals event, so it will be held? If so, it means we have to start advertising to attract potential participants."

"And we can also sue the registration money that will be allocated to the winners' gifts." Another added add.

"Yes, I agree! Last year the winner only got a trophy and vouchers for watching movies and dinner because the competition was free and the committee only depended on the funds provided by the school. This year the prizes should be more attractive, maybe like a round trip ticket to Bali or Lombok and staying at a five-star hotel," added the student next to him.

Everyone in the hall cheered him, some agreed but not a few also refused.

"This is not a honeymoon event! Those who are not married are given one room, it's dangerous, later when they return to Jakarta, they can add members!"

"Huh, you're just talking! Think how much money to spend on everything."

"Listen to me first! I mean, the rooms are separated, of course, don't give one room! Or who knows the winner is a pair of friends, right? For example, a girl with a girl or a boy with a boy!"

"It's still dangerous! People who are far from home, from their parents will not resist the temptation, especially just the two of them!"

"That's true!"

"Besides, the same gender doesn't guarantee that both are straight!" add someone in the back row.

"Okay, I will discuss the problem with Mr. Ricky first. I will close the meeting now, please all of you go home but don't forget to clean the hall first." The chairman continued to muffle the increasingly uncontrollable debate.

"Ready, we understand!" All students answered in unison.

"Qitt, don't go home yet! There's something I want to talk to you about. Wait until I finish my work, okay?" The student council president named Takka who is also Ghaza's classmate called Quitta to which he immediately nodded.

Farah and Tessa looked at Quitta with a view of the question, but Quitta just shook her head.

"You guys go first!" Quitta said to Tessa and Farah.

"Yes, I'm going home first, my cousin has picked me up!" said Farah, rushing to carry the bag on her back.

Tessa knew for sure that Farah was lying. But she didn't understand why Farah had to bring up her cousin again. Was it to make her and Quitta not suspect her? Or because she already lied about it?

"So who's your cousin? Name, address, and is a boy or a girl?" said Tessa quickly, before Quitta held her back.

After all, since they had been in the hall for almost two hours, it was only now that Tessa let out her voice. She busied himself pretending to look around and covered her mouth. Even when asked, she only answered briefly.

Farah didn't immediately answer Tessa's question, she was focusing on fixing her folded uniform.

"Far!" Tessa called, starting to look annoyed.

Quitta tried to pull her and signaled her to stop.

"Huh, what is it, Tess? Damn, why is this so dirty!" grumbled Farah, patting her uniform skirt which was stained with sauce dirt, clearly avoiding Tessa's question.

"Nothing! Well you just go, didn't you say your cousin is waiting!" Tessa said, trying to hide her hatred.

"Yeah, he's been waiting since an hour ago. Tak! I'm going home first, there's already someone waiting for me!" Farah shouted at Takka who was not far from her.

While Takka didn't respond, because he was busy with his work. Even so, Farah did not wait for the boy's approval, she immediately left the hall leaving Quitta who waved her hand back with a nod of her head.

Without realizing it, Tessa followed behind her.

After being outside the school gate, Farah turned right towards the intersection. In front of a clothing store that is always a regular for young people, parked a metallic gray sports car that she had just seen.

From where she was, the darkened side mirror made it difficult for Tessa to see the driver. Farah seemed to enter the car.

Until the car leaves the parking lot, Tessa can't see the driver of the car. But she hasn't given up yet.

Just as she was about to dial a name in her phone contacts, a call from Quitta came on her cell phone.

"Hey, Qitt?"

"Where are you, why aren't you here?" Quitta asked.

"Ah, sorry I went straight home without telling you, are you still in the hall?"

"Yeah, still waiting for Takka."

"Do you want me to accompany you?"

"Aren't you home already?" Quitta asked.

"It's okay, I can go back to school again."

"No need, it's fine if you go straight home. I'll hang up first, Takka called me." Tell Quitta.

"Ok."

"Tess?"

"Huh?"

There was a moment's pause before Quitta continued her conversation.

I suspect you are following Farah. If that's what you're doing, you better stop." Quitta said confidently.

Tessa gasped, not expecting Quitta to find out so soon.

But she had already lied, after all, she was determined to make Farah accountable for her actions to Quitta.

"Don't worry, I'm not following her," Tessa answered confidently.

Tessa hangs up and resumes her pending mission.
