The Explanation

Back to Jane and Jack - in the small submarine.

Jack kept looking at Jane's face. He didn't want to be confused again or lied to by the woman in front of him.

"I am Jane, but I am a clone. My resemblance and identity are very similar to Jane's. That's why I don't remember you, Jack," Jane said sadly.

"How did first Jane die? And what group are you in, why did you make us like this? Didn't we have parents, did... you guys separate us on purpose?" Jack looked furious, and he was still holding the thick black book.

Jane hadn't said anything, and she was still speechless. She was thinking about what was necessary and what was not, what she should tell Jack because she told the story of her life.

"There seems to be a gap when they cloned Jane many times. Some memories came up, and…" Jane closed her eyes, trying to remember how first Jane died.

However, tears came out of Jane's eyes, making Jack wonder, "what's wrong?"
