Story 6

Idris runs down the corridor, several guards pursue her.

An officer shouts, "Get that Traitor!"

"Fire!"

Several energy bolts fly past Idris's head, singeing a small part of her hair. Idris continues down a corridor and ends up at a locked door. She takes a twig from her bag and points it to the door controls. The twig emits a green glow and low pitch ringing. The door's locks clicked.

A guard shouts, "Sir she's entering the decommissioned timeship bay!"

The guards fire more shots at Idris. Idris opens the door and enters the large chamber. Several decommissioned timeships line one wall. Idris uses the twig to unlock one of the timeships' doors

Idris runs to the controls. She flips the power switch and pulls the take-off lever. The timeship dematerializes. The guards enter the room and shoots the dematerializing timeship.

The officer points at one guard, "You, alert the Division that we got a renegade on the loose."

"Yes Sir!"

[Meanwhile….]

Idris sits on the floor of the console room. The time rotor goes up and down. She pulls out a device and opens it. Sadly, the battery just died.

She softly yells under her breath, "Dammit! Dammit! Dammit!"

Idris rests her hand on her face. She looks at the console letting out a sigh.

"Great, now I'm a fugitive and stuck with an old rust bucket."

The timeship's interior changes and glows a soft blue hue. The timeship beeps in annoyance. 

"Great, and it's sentient!"

She scoffs at it. Idris gets up and walks over to the food cube machine. She tries to get some food but the dispenser is all out of ingredients. As if things couldn't get any worse, sparks fly out of the console unit. The whole room shakes violently, Idris grabs on to the console and holds on for dear life.

Her grip loosens, causing Idris to slip away and tossed around like a rag doll. Her head gets slammed into the floor, knocking her out cold…
