Chapter 158

Atifa's pov:

"She doesn't? But they found traces of its medicine in her blood…" Furrowing his brows he replied, getting puzzled himself.

"B- but she never told us about it… There must be some mistake, I- I can't believe it. Please talk to the doctor and ask them to check again, I- I'm sure her reports must have been exchanged by someone's elses." Looking up at him with tears streaming down my face, I begged.

"Okay okay, I will talk to him, but calm down woman! You haven't healed yet!" His stance completely changed when he looked at me, a composed look took over his features as he sat back down and held my hand gently before rubbing soothing circles on them.

"I can't… I want to see ammi." Holding his hand tightly, I replied while trying to blink my tears away.

"We will go to meet her tomorrow. Okay? You should rest now." With a soft look on his face, he tried to pursue me. But it wasn't possible for me to rest without knowing for sure myself that ammi was fine.
